摘要: A film capacitor according to the present disclosure includes a first film and a second film wound in a stacked state and a first deposition electrode and a second deposition electrode that are formed by metal deposition. The second deposition electrode includes widthwise slit portions, the widthwise slit portions crossing the second deposition electrode in its widthwise direction, split electrodes split by the widthwise slit portions, and a longitudinal slit portion extending in a longitudinal direction of the second deposition electrode in an ineffective electrode region shifted from an effective electrode region in the widthwise direction of the second deposition electrode. Each split electrode includes a first fuse portion bridging over a longitudinal slit portion and a second fuse portion that bridges over a widthwise slit portion and can be fused with a current smaller than a current for the first fuse portion.

The third portion of the first metal film is divided by a first groove extending in a first direction, and the third portion of the second metal film is divided by a second groove extending in a second direction. The first direction and the second direction intersect each other in a plan view of the film capacitor.

摘要: This application describes methods and apparatus for the safety and protection of capacitor units suitable for medium and high voltage applications, for instance within switching modules (400) of a voltage source converter as may be used for HVDC or FACTs. The capacitor unit (300) has a housing (201) within which is a capacitor comprising a plastic film dielectric material, for instance a winding (100) of first and second plastic films (101, 102) with metal coatings (103, 104). A pressure sensor (302) is configured to detect if the pressure in the housing exceeds a first pressure level and a pressure relief valve (304) is configured to vent gas from the housing if the pressure in the housing exceeds a second pressure level which is higher than the first pressure level.

摘要: A metallized film capacitor includes: a metallized film columnar body including two metallized films that are laminated and wound, the two metalized films each including a vapor-deposited metal film with a plurality of vapor-deposition-free slits and fuse portions each interposed between the vapor-deposition-free slits, and a polyvinylidene fluoride dielectric film, the metallized film columnar body having two electrode extraction surfaces; metal-sprayed parts disposed respectively on the two electrode extraction surfaces; and outgoing terminals joined respectively to the metal-sprayed parts. Each of the two metallized films has a shape with successive sloped ridges and valleys in a cross-section orthogonal to a winding direction, and the two metallized films are laminated such that the ridges and valleys of one of the metallized films are aligned with the ridges and valleys of the other one of the metallized films.

摘要: A self-healing capacitor comprises a first electrode, a second electrode, and a dielectric layer disposed between said first and second electrodes and having first surface faced the first electrode and second surface faced the second electrode. At least one of the electrodes can include metal foam. The dielectric layer can have electrically conductive channels that each has an exit point located on the first surface of the dielectric layer and another exit point located on the second surface of the dielectric layer. The electrodes can include local contact breakers each of which is located within the electrode at an interface between the dielectric layer and the electrode and opposite at least one exit point of each electrically conductive channel in the dielectric layer. The local contact breakers can prevent electric current through the conductive channels in dielectric layer.
