    Abstract: The stacker comprises a pair of protrusions 6 prominent from side walls 5 in a spaced relation to each other to form a second opening 7 between protrusions 6, an interim chamber 13 defined by partitions 3 and protrusions 6, and a pair of inner surfaces 8 formed on protrusions 6 prominent into interim chamber 13 from side walls 5 more inward than side surfaces of a holding chamber 12. Largely deviated one of side edges of document D comes into contact to inner surface 8 in interim chamber 13 to push document D inward by projection of inner surface 8 to store document D in a vault 30 with the tolerable deviation upon stowage of a subsequent document D.

    Abstract: A conveyance control device is provided to comprise a turning device 13 that has a trifurcate intersection 7 and a deflector 20 of three vertexes 21, 22, 23 rotatably supported in trifurcate intersection 7, an actuating device 30 for moving each of three vertexes 21, 22, 23 of deflector 20 to open gates 27, 28, 29 defined between vertexes 21, 22, 23 and related inner surfaces 7a, 7b, 7c of trifurcate intersection 7, and a conveyance device 9 for transporting a document along shuttle, reserve and recycle pathways 5, 10, 11 and for transporting the document through each gate 27, 28, 29 from one to another of the shuttle, reserve and recycle pathways 5, 10, 11.

    Abstract: A document photosensor is provided which comprises upper and lower sensor assemblies 1 and 2 disposed on opposite sides of a passageway 55 along which a document 50 is transported. Upper sensor assembly 1 comprises an upper substrate 11, an upper LED chip 21 surface-mounted on upper substrate 11 and an upper PD chip 37 surface-mounted on upper substrate 11. Lower sensor assembly 2 comprises a lower substrate 12, a lower LED chip 31 surface-mounted on lower substrate 12 and a lower PD chip 38 surface-mounted on lower substrate 12. These chips 21, 37, 31 and 38 are secured at precise locations on upper and lower substrates 11 and 12 with accuracy on the order of a few micrometers or less to exactly detect by upper and lower PD chips 37, 38 lights irradiated from upper and lower LED chips 21 and 31 after penetration of these lights through particular points on a bill 50 moved along passageway 55 to improve validation performance of bill 50.

    Abstract: Based on information recorded on and read out from a card, a card printer erasably writes information on the card or erases information recorded on the card.     Abstract: A casing, including an inlet through which air can flow in and outlets through which air can flow out, is internally provided with: an air passage through which the inlet and the outlets are connected to each other; and an ion generation device for discharging ions into the air passage. The casing has an inclined wind guide surface and an attachment surface that forms an acute angle with the wind guide surface.
