    摘要: A tire for vehicle a wheel includes a carcass structure including at least one carcass ply shaped in a substantially toroidal configuration, the opposite lateral edges of which are associated with respective right-hand and left-hand bead wires enclosed in respective beads; a belt structure applied in a circumferentially external position relative to the carcass structure; a tread band circumferentially superimposed on the belt structure, the tread band including a radially outer surface with a tread pattern including a plurality of longitudinal and transverse grooves which define a corresponding plurality of blocks and/or ribs; a plurality of studs partially projecting from the radially outer surface of the tread band; and a pair of side walls applied laterally on opposite sides relative to the carcass structure. The tread band includes a crosslinked elastomeric composition including at least one diene elastomeric polymer and at least one layered nanosized inorganic material as reinforcing filler.

    摘要: A method for manufacturing a tire includes forming a carcass structure, forming a tread band, placing the tire in a curing mold, and molding and curing the tire. The carcass structure includes a crown portion defined between two axially opposed sidewalls that extend radially toward an axis of rotation of the tire and terminate in a circumferential portion comprising an annular reinforcing structure for mounting the tire on a rim. The tread band extends circumferentially around the carcass structure and includes a molded relief pattern. Forming the tread band includes producing a strip of elastomeric material and winding it onto the crown portion. The strip includes an elongated right cross-section that is asymmetrical in a transverse direction. The strip is wound in a plurality of axially consecutive turns until the tread band is formed. At least one turn is at least partly overlapped onto a previously deposited, axially consecutive turn.

A device for positioning tire bead wires on the building drum includes two support plates, a plurality of gripper units, and actuating devices for synchronous and uniform movement of the gripper units. The gripper units are arranged circumferentially around openings in the support plates and include at least one bead wire grasping element including a throat forming part of a single circumferential gripping profile common to the grasping elements. A tire building apparatus for a vehicle wheel includes a building drum and a bead wire placing system for fitting bead wires onto the building drum. The bead wire placing system includes the bead wire loader device and the device for positioning the bead wires. A related method of manufacturing a tire for a vehicle wheel is also disclosed.

A path of the at least one thread element is substantially concentric with a rotation axis of the tire. The at least one thread element is laid down according to an undulated trajectory including a plurality of waves succeeding each other along a line circumferentially extended around the rotation axis of the tire. A tire for a vehicle wheel includes a carcass structure, a pair of annular anchoring structures, reinforcing structures disposed at axially opposite side portions of at least one carcass ply of the carcass structure, a belt structure, a pair of sidewalls, and a tread band. Each reinforcing structure includes one or more layers of at least one continuous thread element extending according to the undulated trajectory.
