摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a method of producing a copolymer that produces an aromatic vinyl-diene copolymer having a low glass transition temperature, and a method of producing a rubber composition using the method. The subject method produces an aromatic vinyl-diene copolymer having a content of repeating units derived from an aromatic vinyl in an amount of 18 mass % or greater, and among repeating units derived from a diene, a proportion of a vinyl structure of 8 mol % or less, a proportion of a 1,4-trans structure of 60 mol % or less, and a proportion of a 1,4-cis structure from 40 to 95 mol %, the method including copolymerizing a monomer containing an aromatic vinyl and a diene using an initiator prepared with an organolithium compound, an alkylaluminum, a metal alcoholate, and at least one polar compound selected from the group consisting of water and an alcohol.

摘要: In accordance with one aspect of the exemplary embodiment, a rubber composition includes at least 20 phr of a composite material, at least 3 phr of a conjugated diene elastomer, a cure activator, and a sulfur-based cure agent. The composite material includes a reinforcing carbon black dispersed in natural rubber. The composite material and conjugated diene elastomer together provide at least 90 phr of vulcanizable elastomers in the rubber composition. The rubber composition may further include a reinforcing filler other than carbon black. The reinforcing filler may include silica. The rubber composition may include at least 5 phr, or at least 8 phr of silica, or up to 30 phr, or up to 18 phr of silica.

摘要: A rubber composition contains 10-50 parts by mass of a thermoplastic resin in 100 parts by mass of a diene rubber containing 60 mass % or more of a styrene-butadiene rubber having a styrene content of 5-30 mass % and a vinyl content of 10-35 mass %. In a mixture containing the diene rubber and the thermoplastic resin in a mass ratio of 1:1, a difference (Tga−Tgm) between a theoretical value (Tga) of a glass transition temperature of the mixture calculated based on an average glass transition temperature (Tg1) of the diene rubber and a glass transition temperature (Tg2) of the thermoplastic resin, and a measurement value (Tgm) of a glass transition temperature of the mixture, is lower than 5° C., and a difference (Tg2−Tg1) is 50-105° C. An amount of the thermoplastic resin is 30 mass % or more in 100 mass % total of a plasticizer component contained in the rubber composition.

摘要: Provided is a rubber composition for a tire tread that can cause a tire to display excellent wear resistance when used in a tread. The rubber composition for a tire tread contains a rubber component and carbon black. The rubber component includes modified butadiene rubber in a proportion of 5 mass % or more and unmodified butadiene rubber in a proportion of 10 mass % or more. The carbon black has a cetyltrimethylammonium bromide adsorption specific surface area (CTAB) of 130 m2/g or more, a ratio (CTAB/IA) of CTAB (m2/g) relative to iodine adsorption number (IA) (mg/g) of not less than 0.92 and not more than 1.06, and hydrogen evolution of not less than 3,500 mass ppm and not more than 4,800 mass ppm.

The polymer block A contains 80-95 mass % of isoprene and 5-20 mass % of aromatic vinyl, has an active terminal, and has a weight average molecular weight of 500-15000. The polymer block B contains 1,3-butadiene and an aromatic vinyl and has an active terminal. 55-90 parts by mass of silica having a CTAB adsorption specific surface area of 185 m2/g or more is used as the silica.

摘要: A tread of a tire includes a plurality of blocks including a center block located on an equator plane and a side block located outward of the center block in an axial direction. Each of the plurality of blocks includes a land surface that forms a part of a tread surface. In the tread surface, a total area of the land surfaces is smaller than a total area of a portion other than the land surfaces. A complex elastic modulus at a maximum strain amplitude of 1% and a temperature of 70° C. of each block is not less than 10.0 MPa. A 300% modulus at a temperature of 75° C. of each block is not greater than 6.0 MPa.
