    摘要： A disposable syringe includes a needle assembly having a needle seat retained in a barrel by a grip member to fix a needle cannula, a tubular plunger movable in the barrel toward the needle seat during an injection course, and a coupling member having a retained shank in frictional engagement with the plunger, and an anchored portion disposed outwardly of the plunger to engage a rear anchoring portion of the needle seat when the coupling member is moved forwardly. When the plunger is moved further forward to cause the plunger to move relative to the coupling member, the retained shank is released to enable the needle assembly to retract into the plunger by means of a biasing member. A guiding sleeve is sleeved on the needle seat, and can be forced to extend between the needle seat and the grip member so as to decrease the frictional force therebetween for ensuring successful retraction of the needle assembly.

    摘要： The safe syringe comprises a cylinder, a needle seat and a pusher plunger. The needle seat is firmly connected to the front inner side of the cylinder, the needle seat has on its bottom a first protruding piercing portion, a chamber with a positive pressure is formed between the bottom of the needle seat and the front end of the cylinder; the pusher plunger is a hollow rod having a chamber therein with a negative pressure, the rod has a second piercing portion on the outer wall on its front end, and a piston envelops the front surface of the rod and the outer wall. Thereby, when the plunger is pushed to the front end of the cylinder, the first piercing portion pierces and breaks the piston and the front surface of the rod, the second piercing portion pierces forwards through and cut out the bottom of the needle seat to make communication of the two chambers, thus the bottom of the needle seat is drawn into the plunger together with the needle by changing of pressure.

    摘要： A safety syringe 10 includes a generally tubular body 14 having a needle end 18 and plunger end 22, needle 38 and retractable needle seat 30, two-way valve 36, plunger 42, stopper 62, piston 52, and rear plunger seal 44. During use, the plunger may be moved to create a vacuum in the plunger. The user then moves the plunger toward the needle end, pressurizing a vial, then pulls backward to a selected position corresponding to the desired volume of fluid to be withdrawn. At the conclusion of the injection stroke, the piston is disengaged from the plunger. The vacuum within the plunger retracts the needle safely into the tubular body.

A cylindrical spring housing assembly (21) has resilient fingers (23) which captures a spring (15) biasly holding a needle holder (11) against the retaining force of resilient fingers (23). The plunger (59) has a frangible end (65), which dissociates when the outwardly tapered shoulders (68) spread the resilient fingers (23), allowing the coiled spring (15) to eject the needle (9) and its holder (11) into the interior cavity (71) of the plunger (59). A body fluid sampling embodiment employs the same functional elements except the plunger (59") is shorter and contains a linking (137) that communicates with a vacuum container (147). The container allows fluid sampling and provides the structure to release the spring (15 ") retracting the needle (9"). The retractable needle embodiment is also employed with an insertion needle (9'") that guides a catheter tube (154) below the skin of a patient and into the vein, and allows retraction of the insertion needle (9'") thereby avoiding accidental pricking of the health care worker by the insertion needle (9'").

    摘要： A nonreusable syringe is provided having an automatically retracting hypodermic needle to prevent accidental injury after injection or undesirable reuse of the syringe. The needle is retracted by a spring located behind the syringe piston and disposed to prevent re-extension of the needle after use. A locking mechanism holds the needle in position for injection. The piston includes means to release the locking mechanism as injection is completed to automatically retract the needle into the syringe. The syringe tip seal is not in frictional contact with the needle, eliminating drag on the needle during retraction. A safety indicator is provided to indicate previous use.
