摘要: A decal organization tool for products needing large numbers of decals utilizes a single large sheet on which all product decals for a specific product or product model are carried. The invention includes a means by which the previously unavoidable irregular margins surrounding the decals are effectively hidden from the eye and allows large sheet printing of decals with an aesthetically satisfactory overall appearance. An irregularly zone is added to the edge of each decal, and along with an ultraviolet responsive additive placed in the decal adhesive, allows the decal to form an indelible footprint on the product to which it is applied. The footprint, invisible to the eye, becomes visible under ultraviolet light, allowing identification of a specific decal and proof of its application to a product, even when the decal is no longer on the product.

摘要: A transfer sheet, for an adhesive layer, for use in the formation of an image by a thermal transfer process, an image forming method using the transfer sheet for an adhesive layer, and an object with an image formed thereon are disclosed. A transfer sheet 1 for an adhesive layer comprises: a substrate sheet 2; and an adhesive layer 3 and an interposing layer 4 laminated in that order on the substrate sheet 2. The substrate sheet 2 and the adhesive layer 3 are separable from each other. The use of the transfer sheet for an adhesive layer in combination with an intermediate transfer medium enables a desired image having a high quality to be efficiently formed on a particular article.

摘要: A multi-purpose laminating and adhesive transfer apparatus having a frame supporting rotatably engaging nip rollers. A replaceable cartridge is insertable into the frame and has upper and lower feed rolls which may be a laminate, film or paper, or an adhesively coated film or a film having an affinity for adhesive. The upper and lower feed rolls containing the webs of laminating or adhesive transfer material have tensioning caps which can be adjusted to provide the proper tensioning to prevent the rollers from overrunning as they rotate. Tensioning caps and the cartridges are pre-set and provided to the user. A cutter blade is positioned at the discharge side of the nip rollers and may be actuated to sever the master at any desired location. The apparatus may be operated to apply lamination to either top or bottom surfaces of a substrate or an adhesive to the top or bottom surface of the substrate or to both surfaces.

摘要: The present invention provides a transfer material and surface protecting sheet which can provide a molded article excellent in abrasion resistance and chemical resistance without causing crack in curved part of the molded article. The present invention can make possible not to remain fluidity and stickiness on a protecting printed layer prior to irradiation with an active energy ray, even in an inline printing process. A transfer material or a surface protecting sheet of the present invention has, a substrate sheet, a protecting printed layer which consists of an active energy ray curable resin composition comprising a polyaddition reaction product having an urethane bond amount of from 6000 to 50000 g/eq as an effective ingredient on a surface of the substrate sheet, and an additional printed layer on the protecting printed layer or on the opposite surface of the substrate sheet.

摘要: The invention concerns a device and method for applying temporary tattoos. The device is a pocket or patch enclosing a dye. The outer layers of the pocket are impermeable to the dye. The pocket has a removable bottom layer. When the bottom layer is removed, the now exposed inner layer of the pocket, which has dye-permeable and dye-impermeable portions, is adhered to an appropriate location of a user's skin. The user's skin is then exposed to the dye and a tattoo will form in a pattern corresponding to portions of the inner layer (or layers) permeable to the dye. Using the method, a user may cut out and remove a pattern from a dye-impermeable layer of material. The layer is adhered to an appropriate location of a user's skin. The user applies the dye over the layer. The user then securely adheres a dye-impermeable backing layer to the layer of material, thereby preventing leakage of the dye between the layer of material and the backing layer.

摘要: The invention is a composition of matter used in the making of raised characters for use in signs, and a method of manufacturing raised characters made from the composition. The matter is a polymerizable composition comprising a silicone rubber compound, and about 10 to about 50 weight percent of a silica filler based on the weight of the polymerizable composition. Moreover, the composition of matter is a curable composition comprising a vinyl resin selected from a vinyl plastisol or vinyl organosol, and about 10 to about 50 weight percent of a silica filler based on the weight of curable composition. The composition of matter may be a silicone rubber compound. The invention also includes a method of manufacturing raised characters for use in signs comprising machining the characters from a partially cured polymerizable material. A further method is disclosed for manufacturing raised characters for use in signs, comprising partially curing a liquid polymerizable or curable composition in a form having a relatively uniform thickness, and, machining the characters from the partially cured composition. Finally, a method for making signs using the raised characters of the invention is disclosed.

摘要: A transfer member with a pattern of metallic luster is so constructed that a release layer is formed on the whole surface of a release sheet, a metal thin film layer is formed on the release layer, and a pattern-like adhesive layer including thermosetting resin and 5-70 parts by weight of loading pigment is formed thereon. As required, the metal thin film layer is partially formed to partially form a color adhesive layer on the release layer. The metal thin film layer is formed on the whole surface of the release layer formed on the whole surface of the release sheet, then, the pattern-like adhesive layer is formed on the metal thin film layer, thereafter a part of the metal thin film layer which is not covered with the adhesive layer is dissolved and removed therefrom by alkaline or acidic aqueous solution, and then the pattern-like color adhesive layer is formed thereon to manufacture a transfer member. In another method, a pattern-like water-soluble resin layer is formed on the release layer formed on the whole surface of the release sheet, then, the metal thin film layer is formed on the whole surface thereof, and thereafter it is washed by water to dissolve and remove the metal thin film layer therefrom. Then, the adhesive layer is formed on a part overlapped with the metal thin film layer, and then the pattern-like color adhesive layer is formed thereon to manufacture a transfer member. Another transfer member is so constructed that the metal thin film layer is formed on the whole surface of the release sheet through a first release layer, the pattern-like adhesive layer is formed thereon, a second release layer is formed on a part not to overlap with the adhesive layer, and then the pattern-like color adhesive layer is formed thereon.
