    Abstract: A survival suit for providing a user with an inflatable suit that would keep its wearer afloat, keep them warm, and provide food and water in an emergency. The survival suit includes a main body portion and leg portions that extend from the main body portion. Arm portions extend from the main body portion and shoe portions extend from the leg portions. A hood portion extends from the main body portion. An inflatable bladder is coupled to the main body portion, the leg portions, the arm portions, the shoe portions, and the hood portion. An automatic inflation assembly is coupled to the main body portion and in environmental communication with the bladder to selectively inflate the bladder. The bladder extends along the side portions of the main body portion and the leg portions to facilitate free movement of a person in the anti-exposure suit.

    Abstract: A personal watercraft has a daytime running headlight that illuminates continuously or stroboscopically when the personal watercraft is operating. The daytime running headlight makes the watercraft more noticeable to other boaters. Several embodiments are shown in which one or more daytime running headlights are mounted to the personal watercraft above the deckline of the watercraft and forward of the handlebars of the watercraft. Such positioning renders the daytime running headlight easily noticeable to other boaters even in relatively choppy water. The daytime running headlights should not only illuminate light forward of the watercraft, but should also illuminate peripherally from the watercraft. A linkage mechanism can be used to turn the one or more headlights in the direction in which the watercraft is turning.

    Abstract: A portable self-setting marker buoy (10) comprises an elongate float body (12) having a pair of spherical end portions (14) secured to opposite ends of a tubular intermediate portion (16), to which one end of a line (20) is attached. A sinker (24) is attached to the other end of the line (20). Laterally projecting paddles (18) stabilize the body (12) to minimize drifting of the buoy after it has been thrown into the water and the line (20) unwinds as the sinker (24) hits bottom. An internal battery operated light source (26) is preferably included for illuminating the buoy during periods of low visibility or darkness.

    Abstract: An illuminated balloon adapted to function as a signal beacon or as a display device, the balloon being constituted by an inflatable bag of translucent material having a spout. Inserted in the spout to hermetically seal the bag is a stopper having a self-sealing plug portion to receive a hypodermic needle for injecting a lighter-than-air gas into the bag in order to inflate it to its full dimensions. Disposed within the bag at the end of a pair of stiff leads and connected thereto is an electrical light bulb, the leads extending through the stopper to external terminals. A battery serving as an anchor for the floating balloon is connected to the terminals by means of a flexible cable acting also to tether the balloon.
