    摘要: An outlet assembly for an aerosol assembly comprises a valve assembly and a metering member. The valve assembly comprises a valve housing, a valve stem defining a stem inlet and a stem outlet, a valve spring, and a valve seal. Movement of the valve stem disengages the valve stem from the valve seal to allow fluid to flow into the stem inlet and out of the stem outlet. The valve stem displaces the metering member as the valve stem moves. Movement of the valve stem relative to the metering member prevents flow of fluid into the stem inlet and out of the stem outlet. The valve stem carries the metering member while the metering member covers the stem inlet to prevent flow of fluid into the stem inlet and out of the stem outlet.

    摘要: A handheld reusable multi-compartmental mixing and dispensing container for storing fluids separately therein before mixing. The proportions of the substances in a mixture are externally adjustable. The desired concentration is determined by test components attached to the container that sense various environmental and user-specific factors. The amount of the adjustable substance to be added to a mixture is controlled by an adjustment wheel on the container. A single control button allows a user to choose what fluid substances are to be mixed and dispensed. A pressurized gas propellant in a replaceable canister moves the fluid around and out of the container.

    摘要: A valve assembly includes a valve housing defining a metering chamber and an elongated stem. The stem is axially movable with respect to the valve housing for dispensing liquid and is rotatable for adjusting the length of the stroke of a piston to thereby select the volume of liquid dispensed with each actuation of the stem. A sliding float member is fitted around the stem within the chamber and is axially slidable with respect to the stem but is locked for rotation with the stem. The lower surface of the sliding float is locked for axial movement with the piston but is independently rotatable with respect to the piston. A pair of spaced poles extends parallel to the axis of the float and engages vaginations in a surface of the housing to thereby limit the length of the stroke of the piston. The poles of the float and the complementary pairs of vaginations in the housing are angularly spaced a distance of less than 180 degrees.

    摘要: An aerosol device for dispensing texture material for matching existing accoustical ceiling texture. The device comprises a container, a valve assembly, a dispensing nozzle, a hardenable material, and pressurized inert gas as a propelling mechanism. The hardenable material and pressurized inert gas are placed into the container. When the valve assembly is opened, the inert gas forces the hardenable material out of the container through the dispensing nozzle. The dispensing nozzle to diverts at least a portion of the hardenable material exiting the container to develop a spray suitable for the application of the hardenable material onto the ceiling surface being textured. The hardenable material preferably comprises at least water, filler, binder, and polystyrene particles. The inert gas is preferably nitrogen.

    摘要: The valve has a variable volume chamber (11) of annular section between an outer tubular body (1) and a coaxial member (4). An annular piston (5) is free to move axially to vary the volume of the chamber under the combined forces of a return spring (6) and the pressure in the container. A controllable plunger (7) is subject to the force of a return spring (8) and to control force from a user. In the rest position the plunger leaves the variable volume chamber in communication with the interior of the container, and thus with the substance to be dispensed. When pressed against its return spring (8), the plunger isolates the variable volume chamber from the interior of the container and puts the variable volume chamber in communication with the outside. A pressure difference thus appears across the piston (5) and the piston moves along the variable chamber against the force of its return spring (6) to dispense a measured volume of substance. When the plunger (7) is released, the inside pressure of the container is again applied to both faces of the piston (5), allowing the return spring (6) to refill the variable volume chamber (11) with a further volume of substance to be dispensed.
