Abstract: An exhaust valve assembly for a bottle attachment apparatus for handling liquids has a valve housing which forms a valve chamber having an inlet and an outlet, an exhaust valve body disposed on the inlet in the valve chamber, and a safety valve body disposed on the outlet in the valve chamber. The exhaust valve body is biased toward an exhaust valve seat, counter to the flow direction of the liquid and the safety valve body is biased toward a safety valve seat in the flow direction of the liquid. The safety valve seat is integrally molded on the valve housing.

Abstract: A dosing device for an infusion system comprises a dosing unit having a variable volume and at least one opening in fluid connection with the variable volume, through which opening the variable volume can be filled with a substance or the substance can be dispensed from the variable volume. The dosing device is operable in a first state for filling the substance from a supply conduit, in a second state for preventing filling and dispensing, or in a third state for dispensing through a dispensing conduit. No direct fluid connection exists between the supply conduit and the dispensing conduit at any time. Methods for dosing a substance with the dosing device.

Abstract: A dosing device for dispensing liquid from a container (1) in which flow through flow openings (23) to an outlet tube (44) is blocked after controlled delay by an obturator (3) moveable within a control chamber (2) mounted in a container neck (101) behind the outlet tube (44). Movement of the obturator (3) is governed by restricted flow through control openings (28) at the rear of the control chamber. Restoration of the obturator to the back of the control chamber facilitates repeated dosing. An elastomeric element (6) of resiliently deformable material promotes a seal to achieve a cleanly defined dose. In one proposal the elastomeric element coats the surface of the obturator and/or the outlet tube (64) to cut off the flow. Another proposal provides a one-way elastomeric valve element (63) for blocking the flow openings to enable rapid recovery after a dosing operation.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for dispensing liquid material provide the option to dispense precise and repeatable quantities or volume of material over a wide range of viscosities. In one embodiment, a metering chamber is provided that can be filled and emptied at the same time so as to eliminate time delays between dispensing operations. The material may be under pressure and that pressure is used to fill and empty a metering chamber. In another embodiment, a control device is provided with a metering chamber wherein the control device operates to switch pressurized fluid between two passages to the metering chamber. In a more specific embodiment, the control device may be, for example, a valve, and more specifically in one embodiment a pneumatically actuated spool valve.
