摘要: The invention provides a method for the application of a treatment agent to a substrate, the method comprising the treatment of the pre-wetted substrate in an aqueous system comprising the solid particulate treatment agent in a closed container, the treatment being carried out at a ratio of liquor to substrate which does not exceed 2:1. Typically, the method is applied to the dyeing of textile fibres at liquor ratios of ≦1:1 and is carried out in the absence of additives conventionally included for the sole purpose of promoting dye uptake by controlling electrical interactions or otherwise enhancing interactions between the substrate and the treatment agent. The invention also provides a method for the removal of surplus treatment agents following application of said treatment agents to a substrate, said method comprising not more than three wash-off treatments of said substrate with water following said application. Said wash off process most particularly comprises a two-stage process comprising performing, in order, the steps of: a first wash-off of the treated substrate with water in a closed container at a ratio of water to substrate which does not exceed 5:1; and a second wash-off of the treated substrate with water in a closed container at a ratio of water to substrate which does not exceed 10:1.

摘要: A process is provided for batch treatment of textile material such as yarn packages, raw stock, knit goods, muffs or the like by placing the material in an enclosed zone, evacuating the enclosed zone to provide a vacuum therein, and then flooding the evacuated zone with a treating agent by placing the evacuated zone into communication with a second zone having the treating agent therein under a positive pressure. A substantial pressure differential exists between the two zones, and the treating agent flows extremely rapidly through the textile material whereby, at the very outset of the treating process, the treating agent is uniformly distributed over the surfaces of the textile material and substantially in its original concentration and condition. The treating agent includes a dyestuff and other agents, such as scouring agents, whereby several treating operations can be performed simultaneously.

No centrifuge for the yarn spools and no rotation devices for the dye carrier insert and the yarn bobbins are necessary to remove water from and drain the yarn resulting in a more economically operated apparatus.

摘要: A method of activating down and fiber materials uses a plurality of nozzles for ionized air and nozzles for normal air alternately at proper intervals in the passage of the materials to be treated. The materials are subjected to ionization by ionized air ejected from the nozzles for ionized air produced by an air ionizer connected to the ionized air nozzles. Then the materials are subjected to suspension of the progress of oxydization caused by ozone by normal air ejected from the normal air nozzles. This process is repeated several times while the materials are passing through the passage. The repeated processes of such alternate ionization and suspension of the progress of oxydization caused by ozone allow the materials to be gradually and intensively ionized, resulting in producing finally activated materials which are characteristic of restored bulkiness and elasticity. An enclosure can also be adopted instead of the passage. In the enclosure, the stationary materials are subjected to ionization by ionized air injected. After evacuation of the ionized air from the enclosure, normal air is injected which will be evacuated afterward. One of the uses of this method is activation of down to be filled in quilts. But this method is also utilized for activation of other materials such as cotton, silk, chemical fibers, wool, paper, wood etc.
