摘要: A load of garments or other textile material to be washed is presoaked in organic solvent, e.g. in a rotating drum, and is then immersed within the same vessel in a water bath while still permeated by a substantial quantity of solvent. During this immersion, the vessel is gradually heated to the boiling point of the solvent, or of the azeotropic water/solvent mixture, which is below the boiling point of water so that only a part of the wash liquor is vaporized. The evaporation can be accelerated by placing the vessel under a partial vacuum. The evaporation rate of the solvent is measured and the washing cycle is halted as soon as that rate drops to zero or below a predetermined limit, with subsequent drying of the load by, for example, centrifugation.

摘要: A relay type feedback control method with sampling for controlling the wet processing of textile material, such as a dyeing process, comprises holding an output signal of an on-off control device by a zero-order holding device for a predetermined holding time and selectively changing the holding time at various sampling instants. The holding time is principally changed at each sampling instant in accordance with a preselected program so that input of the controlled process is capable of being adjusted to coincide with a predetermined trapezoidal program.

摘要: The present invention provides an apparatus for the dyeing of shaped articles. The apparatus transports the shaped article in a treating chamber within the apparatus during the dyeing process; surrounds the shaped article with a non-reactive environment in the treating chamber; preheats the shaped article; flows a thin continuous film of a dye composition over the surfaces of the shaped article in a non-reactive environment at an elevated temperature; and cools the dyed shaped article. The apparatus can also rinse and dry the dyed shaped article. The apparatus further includes an applicator head for applying the thin continuous film of the dye composition over the shaped article and a carrier for positioning the shaped article in vertical alignment with the applicator head.

摘要: The crease displacement and the achievable dilution factor in the conventional continuous pretreatment or aftertreatment operations of fabric ropes with liquid means in rope washers are not adequate, and consequently the water consumption necessary for satisfactory results is too high. To date the existing problems can only be solved with squeeze rollers which, however, have an adverse effect on the goods.According to the invention the textile rope is now introduced into a treatment store of a liquid-operated jet apparatus, is subjected to the action of the treatment liquor, is then carried along by a steam- or more generally gas-operated jet arrangement and conveyed into an interim store, where dewatering takes place. From the interim store the goods, with satisfactory dilution factor, are then passed to the next isothermal or non-isothermal treatment stage of the same or a very similar structure.

摘要: The disclosure relates to a high speed process for bleaching greige cloth. The system involves bleaching of the cloth in roll form, in multiple roll batches, utilizing a forced circulation of high temperature liquid bleach at superatmospheric pressures. In the preferred system, a rack, containing a plurality of rolls of greige cloth, is loaded into a pressure vessel. The rack includes means for connecting the several rolls of cloth individually to separate pumps and heat exchangers. Bleaching liquid is pumped through heat exchangers, heated to a high temperature, and thus forced through the rolls. A preferred bleaching material is hydrogen peroxide, but other conventionally used liquid bleaches may also be used in the process. Although the bleach material is introduced into the cloth at a substantially elevated temperature, it is kept from vaporizing by maintaining the bleaching vessel under superatmospheric pressure. To greatest advantage, a single pressure vessel is utilized, in conjunction with appropriate solution storage vessels, pumps, and valves, to carry out the various related operations associated with the bleaching step, including preliminary impregnation with wetting-out solution, the addition of optical dyes, if desired, washing, the addition of softening solutions and other finishing agents, etc. The invention also contemplates drying of the bleached cloth while it remains in the roll form and still contained in the bleaching vessel, by means of electromagnetic energy. The new system enables extraordinary reductions in bleaching time to be realized, and also greatly simplifies the related processing. Important savings are realized in equipment and in personnel, as well as in processing time.

摘要: The invention provides a method for the application of a treatment agent to a substrate, the method comprising the treatment of the pre-wetted substrate in an aqueous system comprising the solid particulate treatment agent in a closed container, the treatment being carried out at a ratio of liquor to substrate which does not exceed 2:1. Typically, the method is applied to the dyeing of textile fibres at liquor ratios of ≤1:1 and is carried out in the absence of additives conventionally included for the sole purpose of promoting dye uptake by controlling electrical interactions or otherwise enhancing interactions between the substrate and the treatment agent. The invention also provides a method for the removal of surplus treatment agents following application of said treatment agents to a substrate, said method comprising not more than three wash-off treatments of said substrate with water following said application. Said wash off process most particularly comprises a two-stage process comprising performing, in order, the steps of: a first wash-off of the treated substrate with water in a closed container at a ratio of water to substrate which does not exceed 5:1; and a second wash-off of the treated substrate with water in a closed container at a ratio of water to substrate which does not exceed 10:1.
