摘要： A space dividing system includes a column and a series of partition panels adapted for interconnection with the column. The column includes an internal passage, and is adapted to receive wiring from a building for supplying power to a receptacle arrangement interconnected with the column. Adjacent panels are connected to the column at spaced locations, and the receptacle arrangement is exposed between the adjacent panels. The column includes a structural skeleton to which the receptacle arrangement is mounted, and a series of covers are releasably engaged with the structural skeleton for finishing the aesthetic appearance of the column. An adjustable height mounting arrangement is interconnected with the upper end of the column for connection to a ceiling to stabilize the upper end of the column. Each panel is in the form of a frame defining an opening within which a core is received. Cover members are releasably engageable with the frame members, and overlie the core so as to releasably maintain the core in position within the opening. End caps are mounted to upper and lower ends of the side frame members, and are utilized to mount various connectors to the panels for interconnecting the panels together and for providing stacking of panels on top of each other.

摘要： A connector assembly for connecting and locking tubular elements in preselected angular relationships. The connector assembly includes a pair of clevis having tube engaging elements at one end and three clevis rings at the other. The clevis rings of each clevis are interengaged and define a bore. The bore has a plurality of grooves therein. Locking elements, including a locking pin and a locking plug are inserted in the bore. The locking pin and locking plug each have a pair of opposed raised ribs and a pair of opposed resilient locking arms that engage the grooves in the bore. Detents on the ends of the resilient arms engage a space between the interengaged clevis rings to secure the locking elements in place. The tubular elements can be interconnected in a system of frames to suspend function and decorative panels.

The screens with elements in the stored configuration may be moved against a wall, into a space in the wall or into a closet. The screens with elements in a set up configuration are stabilized by interacting hinges, locks and stabilization legs. The screens are also interconnected with conduits to permit utility, electrical, water and communications connections to be available at the appropriate screen. The system provides a quickly and easily set up and stored environment for use as a work, play, privacy or sleep area. Some of the elements are designed to be free standing when in use.

The central formation (68) may also provide an upwardly open channel (72) to receive a downwardly extending tongue on a similar panel, whereby similar panels may be fitted one on top of the other. The panels may have catch members (20, 100) for engagement in cutouts (112) in such tongues to hold together panels thus fitted one on top of the other.

摘要： A partition system including a frame to which different types of covering panels can be readily hooked into place. Vertical wiring channels are provided at the end elements of the frame and covers are provided which simultaneously cover the wiring channels and mask the edges of the panel. Brackets for supporting superstructure can be secured to the end elements of the frame in channels which are defined by an end trim piece on one side and by a wall of the wiring channel on the other side. Adjacent partitions can be secured together angularly by means of a single link at the top and a single link at the bottom thereof. They can be secured in alignment by a pair of adjacent links at the top and at the bottom. Vertically spaced platforms can be mounted on feet at the bottom of the partitions to define space wiring channels. Telescoping end caps are provided for covering the ends of the wiring channels and the top portion of each end cap can be telescoped downwardly to allow access to the connecting links at the bottom of the partition. The wiring channels can be covered on either side by a molding which is releasably securable to the bottom of the partitions. In the case of wiring which must pass from one partition to another where the partitions are to be disposed at an angle, a telescoping corner cap is provided. Finally, special connector brackets are provided for connecting partitions of different heights to one another at various angles.
