    摘要: Effects of a surge in an AC input voltage to a UPS is mitigated. If the AC input voltage is overvoltage, the rectifier is operated using a DC bus target voltage for the DC bus voltage unless the rectifier reaches its current limit. If the rectifier reaches its current limit, the DC bus target voltage is increased by a predetermined amount which is used as a current DC bus target voltage unless the increased DC bus target voltage exceeds a maximum DC bus voltage limit in which case the current DC bus target voltage is set to the maximum DC bus voltage limit. The rectifier is then operated using the current DC bus target voltage until it reaches its current limit or the AC input voltage surge has passed. If the rectifier again reaches its current limit, the above steps starting with increasing the DC bus target voltage are repeated.

An exemplary semiconductor device includes first domain circuitry, second domain circuitry, and an interface coupled between an output node of the first domain driver circuitry and second domain receiver circuitry. The receiver circuitry includes a transistor having a gate electrode coupled to the interface, with a body electrode of the transistor being coupled to protection circuitry of the first domain circuitry. The body electrode is effectively biased to a reference voltage node of the first domain by the protection circuitry in response to an ESD event to protect the gate oxide of the transistor from a potentially damaging ESD voltage.

    摘要: An electrostatic discharge (ESD) circuit for use with motorized window shades includes an antenna connected to a motor controller having a printed circuit board, a receiver or transceiver, a microprocessor and memory that are connected to and operate a motor. The ESD circuit is connected to the line-in between the antenna and the downstream components of the printed circuit board. The ESD circuit includes an inductor in parallel with two anti-parallel diodes in reverse polarity to one another. The ESD circuit shunts damaging signals or ESD events to ground by providing a lower impedance or lower resistance path to ground for these signals, whereas the ESD circuit allows the signals of interest to pass by the ESD circuit as the ESD circuit provides a higher impedance or higher resistance path to ground as compared to the signal of interest passing through the receiver or transceiver of the motor controller.
