    摘要: An axial flux electric machine has a rotatable shaft, a fixed stator core comprising a ferromagnetic material and defining an axis of rotation, and a rotor assembly comprising a plurality of permanent magnets. The rotor assembly is rotatable about the axis of rotation. An axial air gap is defined between the stator core and the rotor assembly. The rotor assembly is axially displaceable towards and away from the stator core. The rotor assembly has a first position wherein the axial gap is a predetermined width greater than zero, and a second position wherein the axial gap is zero, such that the rotor assembly and the stator core contact each other.

A blender jar includes a base portion and a receptacle portion, and is configured to be laterally received within the jar receiving area of the housing. A magnetic coupling system includes an upper magnetic coupler disposed in the base portion of the blender jar and a lower magnetic coupler disposed in the support base of the housing. The upper and lower magnetic couplers are magnetically coupled to one another for driving a blade assembly disposed in the receptacle portion of the blender jar. A brake mechanism is disposed on the upper magnetic coupler and is configured to stop rotation of the upper magnetic coupler when the blender jar is removed from the jar receiving area.

    摘要: A fluid clutch includes a first transmission element and a second transmission element which is rotatable about an axis of rotation with respect to the first transmission element. Torque transmission surfaces of the first and the second transmission elements are located opposite one another in a working fluid region in which torque transmission coupling can be made selectively between the first and the second transmission elements by means of fluid. A valve arrangement can be actuated for selectively making and breaking a fluid flow connection between a fluid storage region and the working fluid region, in order respectively to allow and prevent the ingress of fluid from the fluid storage region into the working fluid region and a braking apparatus can generate a braking force acting on the second transmission element. Two components are movable with respect to one another within a limited range of movement by the transmission of braking force to the second transmission element. As a result of relative movement between the two components, the valve arrangement is actuated for selectively making or breaking the fluid flow connection.

    摘要: The invention relates to a self-starting electric motor assembly of the type having a permanent magnet rotor, a stator with two windings and electronic switching elements for the windings controlled by switching signals occurring in push-pull and derived from control signals of a sensor detecting the angular position of the rotor. At standstill and for normal running operation the magnetic field distributions between the stator and rotor are selected in a known manner, so that the rotor assumes an angular position which is displaced in relation to the neutral position as an aid to starting and so that the switchover occurs at an angular position ahead of the neutral position to provide greater efficiency for the running operation. A modulating circuit is provided which causes the rotor to be "wound-up" in the reverse direction during starting so that the rotor will gain a substantial starting momentum in the driving direction upon termination of the wind-up and the initiation of the normal running control signals.
