摘要： Indentation patterns in microwave packaging materials can enhance the baking and browning effects of the microwave packaging materials on food. The indentation patterns can provide venting to either channel moisture from one area of the food product to another, trap moisture in a certain area to prevent it from escaping, or channel the moisture completely away from the food product. The indentation patterns can cause the microwave packaging material underneath a food product to be slightly elevated above the cooking platform in the base of a microwave. The indentation patterns can lessen the heat sinking effect of the cooking platform by providing an air gap for insulation. Elevating the base of the microwave packaging material further allows more incident microwave radiation to propagate underneath the microwave packaging material to be absorbed by the food product or by microwave interactive materials in the microwave packaging material that augment the heating process.

摘要： A disposable utensil for cooking, warming, and heating articles. More particularly, in the preferred mode, the invention is a disposable utensil which comprises a liner surrounding a permeable armature, which comprises a plurality of vertical members configured in a predetermined framework. The armature functions to elevate an article such as any type of food, in such a manner as to prevent the article from becoming soggy from contact with effluent drippings produced during the cooking, warming, or heating process. The invention may also utilize an optional support element for heavier or larger articles, as well as an optional layer of absorbent material, such as ovenproof paper, felt, wadding or fibrous material for enhanced absorption of effluent drippings. The utensil is suitable for usage in connection with cooking appliances of all types and all sizes. As such, the utensil is a substantial improvement over existing methods of cooking, warming, and heating foods, some of which are: utilizing reusable cooking utensils leading to significant cleaning time of grill and tray or pan; lining a pan with foil, which leads to significant cleaning time and sogginess of food; and utilizing a reusable grill over a foil lined pan, which leads to significant cleaning time and sogginess of food.

During microwave heating, the at least a partial enclosure around the food (306) substantially contains food-splattering (308) inside while allowing steam (312) to escape through an opening (310) formed between the flexibly draped sheet (100) and the outer perimeter of the rigid structure (304).

摘要： A microwave oven liner 11 is an injection moulding having a roof 12, a floor 14, a back 15 and two sides 16. The moulding is of food grade polypropylene, such that the liner can be washed in a commercial dishwasher. The liner is sized to be a sliding fit in a microwave oven. The roof is shorter 17 at the front than the floor to allow air circulation. Further, the roof is apertured, also for air circulation, with a series of small c. 4 mm bores 18 registering with the roof aperture 8. A lip 19 is provided across the front of the floor to retain split liquid. The external corners 20 are chamfered to clear the silicone seal 9 for instance. The floor has regularly pitched, 2 mm high ridges 21 running front to back. The ridges allow circulation of air beneath a container of food being heated in the oven having the liner.

The high-frequency heating apparatus comprises a heating room for storing therein a subject to be heated, a heating unit that is provided at the upper portion of the heating room and performs heater heating, a high-frequency generating unit that is provided at the bottom of the heating room and generates a high-frequency wave to perform high-frequency heating, a high-frequency heating element having a high-frequency heat generating film on its rear surface, and a saucer for placing thereon the subject to be heated, in which a gap is provided between the high-frequency heating element and the saucer. Hereby, scorch can be applied onto a surface of the subject to be heated.

摘要： The present invention provides a tray for frozen food enabling frozen food such as frozen sushi on the tray to be suitably thawed and to provide a frozen food package or a frozen sushi package using this tray, and a method of thawing frozen sushi in this package. The tray for frozen food 1 comprises a base 3, concavities 2 caved in the base 3, a surrounding wall 4 standing from the periphery of the base 3, a flange 5 composing the top end of the surrounding wall 4, a downward flap 6 extending downwardly from the outer peripheral edge of the flange 5, an overhanging portion 7 overhanging outward from the lower edge of the downward flap 6, ribs 8 formed at corners between the base 3 and the surrounding wall 4, and bulges 9 standing from the base 3. The tray 1 is composed of a body 1a made of a synthetic resin and a dielectric material layer 1b formed on the outer surface of the body 1a. Frozen sushi 10 is disposed such that the shari ball 11 is entirely or mostly positioned within the concavity 2 and the neta 12 is entirely positioned above the level of the base 3. The frozen sushi is thawed in such a manner that the shari ball 11 is thawed with heat transmitted from the dielectric material layer 1b by heating the frozen food package by a microwave oven and the neta 12 is thawed with heat transmitted from the shari ball 11 after stopping heating the package in the microwave oven.
