摘要: A coating apparatus and method are disclosed for coating tablets with a film, in which the tables transit through a drilled first container where they are coated, then exit the first container and are removed from a rotating element provided on the periphery of a plurality of removal members that are spaced angularly apart from one another, in which each removal member removes a quantity of tablets, raises the removed tables as far as a certain height and then discharges the tablets into a chute that conveys the tablets into a second rotating drilled container, with delicate transfer of the coated tablets from one container to the next.

摘要: A self-combining receptacle for producing a coated or partially-coated product or an admixture product is provided according to the invention. This receptacle can comprise a food service container for finger food like French fries having a sealed package of ketchup or other condiment installed in the bottom of the container and below the French fries where a closure panel extending outside the receptacle is pulled in a lateral direction away from the receptacle to peel off the closure panel to open the condiment package inside the container whereupon the French fries automatically drop down inside the container into the condiment contained in the now-opened condiment package. Alternatively, the self-combining receptacle may comprise two open faced vessels that are fitted together to join their common open faces with a common closure panel sealing the two open faces to divide the two vessels containing separate components of an admixture product. When the closure panel is removed from the receptacle or pierced by means of an integral utensil device, the two product components can be mixed together to produce the admixture product. Such an admixture product may comprise a food dish like fruit, granola pieces, chocolate pieces, or syrup mixed into yogurt or ice cream, or an industrial product like two resin components mixed together to produce an epoxy adhesive.

摘要: The presently disclosed subject matter is directed to a system and method of preparing personalized nutritional and/or pharmaceutical formulations using additive manufacturing technology. Active pharmaceutical or dietary supplement ingredients are suspended in thixotropic stable carrier medias. The thixotropic suspensions are deposited onto a surface of a solid substrate, which can be a snack bar or small wafer used as a mechanical carrier. The disclosed system enables each additive active ingredient to be variably dosed based on a formula that is determined for each specific individual and manufactured on demand. Once the active ingredients are deposited on substrate, the entire assembly can be enrobed with one or more edible solid coatings to seal the active ingredients and provide taste-masking agent characteristics to the assembly.

摘要: A method of forming a material structure from structural units contained within a liquid solution in a spray head is described. The liquid solution includes a solvent and a solute, the solute comprising a plurality of the structural units, the structural units including monomer units, oligomer units, or combinations thereof. The method comprises forming droplets of the liquid solution including the structural units, and spraying the droplets on a substrate, thereby substantially increasing the reactivity of the structural units within the droplets relative to the structural units within the liquid solution in the spray head. The increase in reactivity can result from the droplets containing an excess of a particular ion, the ion excess resulting from a voltage applied to conductive walls of the device which dispenses the droplets. The material structure is then formed on the substrate from the more highly reactive structural units within the droplets.
