摘要:
A process for removing CO2 from a combustion gas which comprises bringing a combustion gas containing oxygen and CO2 and a CO2 absorbent solution into contact at the atmospheric pressure, thereby allowing the CO2 absorbent solution to absorb CO2 from the combustion gas, and, in the ensuing step, heating the absorbent solution that has absorbed CO2 to liberate CO2 and regenerate the CO2 absorbent solution, and circulating the regenerated solution for reuse. An aqueous solution of a hindered amine selected from the group consisting of 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol (AMP), 2-(ethylamino)-ethanol (EAE), 2-(methylamino)-ethanol (MAE), and 2-(diethylamino)-ethanol (DEAE) is used as the CO2 absorbent solution, and carbon steel is used in building the members of the equipment that contact the aqueous hindered amine solution. The absorbent solution contains cupric carbonate which is a corrosion inhibitor.

A method for controlling absorbent at a decarboxylation facility with an absorption tower having an amine recovery section and a regeneration tower, including controlling a temperature controller for controlling a temperature of circulating water forwarded to the amine recovery section of the absorption tower by a controller which controls a liquid level at the bottom of the absorption tower, whereby the concentration of amine in the absorbent is regulated.

A method for treating an effluent gas from a semiconductor processing system includes the steps of exhausting the effluent gas from a processing chamber, and catalytically treating the effluent gas with the at least one mixed metal oxide. The effluent gas includes unconsumed process gasses introduced during semiconductor processing operations, such as during chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and plasma-reactive ion etching. The mixed metal oxide may include a hetero bi-metal oxide, a hetero tri-metal oxide, or a perovskite. A hetero bi-metal oxide includes LaCoO3 and LaMnO3, for example, and a hetero tri-metal oxide includes (LaxPr1−x)CoO3 and (LaxPr1−x)MnO3, for example. The effluent gas may include at least carbon monoxide and/or ozone. Thus, catalytically treating the effluent gas preferably includes the catalytically converting carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide and/or ozone to oxygen. With the effluent gas being treated by the catalytic converter prior to being released into the atmosphere, undesirable gases, such as carbon monoxide and unreacted ozone are efficiently converted into non-harmful carbon dioxide and oxygen.

A process is provided for removing carbon dioxide out of combustion exhaust gas by scrubbing the exhaust gas with an aqueous solution of monoethanolamine in a scrubber, and regenerating the carbon dioxide-loaded aqueous solution of monoethanolamine in a regenerator. The process is provided with means for replenishing the aqueous solution of monoethanolamine with a stock, aqueous solution containing from about 70% to about 75% by weight of monoethanolamine. By providing a stock, aqueous solution containing from about 70% to about 75% by weight of monoethanolamine, which is injected into the carbon dioxide-loaded aqueous solution of monoethanolamine being transferred from the scrubber to the regenerator, the entire carbon dioxide recovery system is free from flammables, rendering fire-fighting precautions unnecessary.
摘要:
A process for recovering carbon dioxide from a gas containing both carbon dioxide and oxygen wherein a carbon dioxide and oxygen containing gas is first contacted with an alkanolamine solution to produce an alkanolamine loaded with carbon dioxide and oxygen, the oxygen is separated from the absorption solution, such as by stripping with a scavenging gas, such as the carbon dioxide containing fluid obtained from the separation of carbon dioxide from the alkanolamine solution or nitrogen, prior to any heating of the absorption solution, and carbon dioxide is steam stripped from the absorption solution and recovered. By stripping the oxygen out of the alkanolamine solution, oxidative degradation of the alkanolamine can be reduced.
