摘要: A method for writing an imageable material using multiple beams includes preparing subsequent patterns each having Y rows of N pixel locations, said subsequent patterns including first and second patterns; where the first and the second pattern overlap with each other in an overlap area consisting of O columns and Y rows of pixel locations; selecting for each row i of said first pattern Mi1 pixel locations; selecting for each row i of said second pattern Mi2 pixel locations; writing simultaneously, for each row i, said Mi1 selected pixel locations by moving the N beams in a fast scan direction relative to said imageable material; and moving said N beams relative to said imageable material in a slow scan direction over (N−O) pixel locations; writing simultaneously, for each row i, said Mi2 selected pixel locations by moving the N beams in a fast scan direction relative to said imageable material.

摘要: Systems and processes for making a flexo plate, and plates made thereby. Non-printing indicia defined by areas of presence and absence of polymer in the plate floor created using microdots imaged during a LAMS layer imaging step are readable downstream of the washing or other non-cured-polymer-removal step but not to print in the printing step. The non-printing indicia may define a repeating pattern of alphanumeric characters, non-text graphics, or a combination thereof. A difference in growth of plate structures corresponding to different types of microdots may be used for characterizing processing conditions.

摘要: A process for creating a flexographic plate or a mask for producing a flexographic plate, including providing a screen having a resolution defined by a base pattern of equally sized screen spots, each screen spot comprising a smallest exposed discrete element represented on the screen. In at least a non-solid tonal portion of the plate or mask, the size of physical spots are selectively modulated such that each set of four neighboring physical spots in the base pattern has an unexposed area centered therebetween. Each screen spot in the base pattern may be an exposed pixel surrounded by 8 unexposed pixels, each physical spot corresponding to the resolution of a laser beam for exposing the spots on the mask, in which the imaging step includes boosting power of the laser beam for isolated pixels relative to non isolated pixels. Mask and plates, and imaging systems for creating them, are also disclosed.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a printing plate capable of stably suppressing occurrence of a marginal phenomenon. The printing plate includes a printing projection portion having a plurality of projections formed in a distributed manner on a top surface of the printing projection portion, wherein the top surface of the printing projection portion includes a center region and a peripheral edge region adjacent to a peripheral edge of the center region, wherein the peripheral edge region includes printing direction portions extending along a printing direction and perpendicular direction portions extending along a perpendicular direction perpendicular to the printing direction, wherein distribution densities of the projections are different among the center region, the printing direction portions, and the perpendicular direction portions, and wherein, among the distribution densities, a distribution density in the perpendicular direction portions is highest, and a distribution density in the printing direction portions is lowest.

摘要: The present invention provides a system for printing on balloons where the priming of the balloons to receive print is substantially free of bubbles, the system comprising locally applying to a balloon external surface or to a balloon precursor sheet in a defined, limited area one of: a) a pre-shaped self adhesive label comprising a layer of primer that is adhesive-backed; b) a coating of primer that will be formed into the external surface area of a balloon wherein the remaining external surface area of the balloon is coated with a primer repellent material; c) a coating of primer by a silk screen process wherein the applied primer is subjected to a partial vacuum to draw air out from the coating and/or is subjected to the action of a roller or scraper that is held or pressed lightly against the coating to squeeze air from the coating.
