    摘要: A jet-propulsion personal watercraft having improved features over conventional personal watercraft. The personal watercraft includes a hull including primarily an upper hull releasably secured to a lower hull. A gasket is disposed between the upper and lower hulls to seal the interior of the hull. A DC motor is powered by at least one battery and turns a water pump. The batteries are connected in series with a power controller. A gearing mechanism is provided for adjusting the rotational velocity of the motor to achieve the required rotational velocity of the pump. A forced air system is provided to force heat and battery acid fumes from within the hull when the motor is operating. A light circuit includes a switch, a front light and a rear light.

A shaft of a propulsion device is connected to a rear end of a crankshaft of an engine, which is carried on a watercraft body such that the crankshaft thereof is directed in a longitudinal direction of the watercraft body, on an extension line of the crankshaft. A rear end of the crankshaft is disposed in an engine case, and an output power shaft separate from the crankshaft is connected to the rear end of the crankshaft. The shaft of the propulsion device is connected to a rear end of the output power shaft. The rear end of the crankshaft and a front end of the output power shaft are connected to each other in a transmission chamber in which a transmission mechanism for transmitting power of the crankshaft to a camshaft is provided at a rear portion of the crankshaft. A driving sprocket wheel of the transmission mechanism is provided on the output power shaft.

    摘要: A hull-less personal water craft is provided which reduces air, water, noise, and wake pollution over personal water craft presently on the market. The craft includes a strut assembly having forward and rearward ends, with an operator platform attached at the rearward end, and having at least one hydrofoil positioned substantially underneath the operator platform at a predetermined distance. A propulsion system is provided at the forward end of the strut, and is operatively coupled to a control column which provides the operator interface when the craft operator is kneeling or standing on the operator platform. The hydrofoil provides substantially all of the lift for the craft when in operation, and the elimination of a hull greatly reduces the power requirements and wake generated by the craft in operation.

The two component parts of the apparatus may be formed by compression molding or injection molding. Even if the surface of the grip face member includes fine detail work, injection molding can effectively transfer such detail from a metal mold into the finished part. Accordingly, the grip face member can be made to include fine detail work.

    摘要: A steering device for a personal watercraft includes a handle holder fitted to a watercraft body. A steering shaft passes through the handle holder, and a handle is fitted to the upper end of the steering shaft. The steering shaft is provided with a groove, and a holding member is provided in the handle holder and is fitted into the groove. Accordingly, movement of the steering shaft in the axial direction is restricted. A flange or the groove has a shape such that its width can be reduced. When the holding member is fitted by setting the width to a small size, and taking dimensional variations into account, the chattering between the flange or the groove and the holding member can be reduced. In view of this, the steering shaft is provided with the flange or the groove, and the holding member provided in the handle holder is fitted to the flange or the groove, so that movement of the steering shaft in the axial direction can be restrained. As a result, a steering device enhanced in feeling during operation can be realized.
