Described are polymers and cement admixtures which reduce drop in fluidity with time. Said admixture comprises at least one polymer of the present invention and at least one polymer A. The polymer of the present invention comprises side chains of which at least 10 weight-% can be cleaved in alkaline medium. The polymer of the present invention is an acrylic polymer which comprises side chains connected to the backbone by ester linkages. These side chains may be alkyl, hydroxy alkyl, cycloalkyl or polyoxyalkylene groups. Polymer A is a cement dispersing agent. The combination of polymer A with the polymer of the present invention in a weight ratio of 0.1:10-10:1, and preferably 1:10-10:1 reduces the drop in fluidity with time of cementitious compositions.

A radiation-curable, optical fiber coating composition has enhanced color stabilization and is formulated from a composition containing at least one radiation-curable oligomer or monomer. A concentration of urethane and ether linkages in the radiation-curable composition is such that a cured optical fiber coating formed from said radiation-curable composition exhibits a nullE of about 40 or less after being exposed for 96 hours to 150null C. and then for 144 hours to 180null C. Also provided is a radiation-curable optical fiber coating composition which is substantially urethane-free.

This invention provides block copolymers having two or more polymer blocks A miscible with each other and at least one (meth)acrylic ester polymer block B immiscible with the polymer blocks A and exhibiting satisfactory flexibility, melt fluidity, moldability, coatability, mechanical properties, and other properties. The block copolymers of the present invention can yield molded articles having reduced anisotropy and surface stickiness and excellent mechanical properties and pressure-sensitive adhesive compositions having excellent adhesive properties.

The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a cured resin fine powder having spherical particles of particle diameter 10 nullm or less, by curing at ambient temperature or with heating, in the presence of a curing agent and if necessary an accelerator, an O/W type aqueous thermosetting resin dispersion that has been obtained by uniformly dispersing a liquid radical polymerization type thermosetting resin in an aqueous phase, and then removing water, washing if desired, and drying. With the cured resin fine powder of the present invention, by appropriately selecting and combining the raw materials used, the refractive index, oil absorption and so on of the cured resin fine powder can be controlled over broad ranges, and moreover the degree of hydrophilicity and the degree of lipophilicity can be adjusted; the cured resin fine powder can be variously used, for example, as a crack preventing agent or a low shrinkage agent, or as a modifier such as an agent for reducing residual monomer in a polymer.

The present invention provides a resin molded article for optical products comprising a copolymer predominantly composed of methyl methacrylate and a styrenic monomer, wherein the number of foreign bodies contained in the resin molded article having a length of 210 mm, a width of 210 mm and a thickness of 3 mm as visually examined using a strain meter is about 150 or less, which is useful for a light transmitting plate employed in a liquid crystal display device because the possibility that the display screen looks whitely turbid due to the warp of the light transmitting plate, is reduced.
