摘要: The embodiments described relate to an expeditionary solid waste disposal system configured to improve logistics and enable it to be readily deployed. The two-stage gasification/oxidation process takes place in a dual chambered device that resembles and functions as a shipping container. Incinerators or other waste conversion devices are commonly containerized by loading the equipment into a standard or modified shipping container. This apparatus is designed as a waste conversion unit that integrates all of the necessary features required to be an ISO-certified shipping container within its structural design such that the waste conversion system and shipping container are one and the same. With correct set-up by 2 persons aided by forklift the system can be configured and operational in a matter of hours.

摘要: A combustion/carbonizing system which comprises a base frame and a combustion chamber frame which is pivotably attached to the base frame. The combustion chamber frame defines an open top combustion chamber having a bottom perforated plate. A plenum is formed below the perforated plate for collecting biochar which passes therethrough. A first source of combustion air is supplied across the top of the combustion chamber while a second source of combustion air passes through the perforated plate into the combustion chamber. The combustion/carbonizing system is capable of operating in a continuous manner for combustion wood or waste material to the desired degree required by the end user for the purpose of reducing the volume of the material as well as the associated emissions while generating valuable char and boichar as an end product. For some applications, the combustion/carbonizing system may be operated to combust completely the wood or waste material.

摘要: An environmentally friendly combustion chamber for stable combustion of biomass gasification combustible gas. The combustion chamber is divided into a first stage cavity body (45) and a second stage cavity body (48) by a honeycomb-shaped heat storage body (46). A combustion pipe (41) is connected to a biomass gas inlet and a primary air distribution pipe (54), the combustion pipe (41) is connected to the first stage cavity body (45), and an ignition gun (42) and a thermocouple T1 are arranged on the first stage cavity body (45). A secondary air distribution pipe (47), opposite the honeycomb-shaped heat storage body (46), and a thermocouple T2 are arranged within the second stage cavity body (48), and the second stage cavity body (48) is connected to an outlet high temperature flue gas pipe (51). The primary air distribution pipe (54), a primary air volume adjustment valve (52), the secondary air distribution pipe (47) and a secondary air volume adjustment valve (53) are connected together to an air supply fan (49), and a controller (50) is connected to the thermocouple T1, the thermocouple T2, the primary air volume adjustment valve (52), the secondary air volume adjustment valve (53) and the air supply fan (49). The combustion chamber solves the problems of unstable combustion flames in traditional combustors, and high nitrogen oxide amounts in tail flue gas.

摘要: The invention relates to a two stage process for the thermal treatment of wastes consisting of a batch gasification process followed by a syngas combustion process. A system and method are provided comprising of one or more first process stage batch gasification chambers (1) which are connected to a common second process stage chamber, the syngas combustion chamber, or alternatively a syngas conditioning chamber (13) and afterwards a combustion of the syngas in either a combustion chamber, reciprocating engine, boiler, gas turbine or an internal combustion device. The process can also be used to process biomass and fuels by gasification. The gasification chamber (1) has separated nozzle areas corresponding to plenum sections of the bottom where a mixture of air and recirculated flue-gas (8) is blown under the combustible material. Flue gas flow is regulated by varying the production of syngas in the gasification chambers (1) by a feedback signal from devices such as draught sensors, thermocouples, fan speeds indicators, steam flow meters, oxygen concentration meters and power production indicators.

摘要: A method for improving a slag quality of slag in a grate firing system. The method includes providing slag in a grate firing system including a combustion chamber disposed above a combustion bed. The combustion bed has a plurality of fixed-bed burnout zones in series on a combustion grate. The fixed-bed burnout zones include a first series of fixed-bed burnout zones and a second fixed bed burn-out zone disposed downstream of the first series. The first series of fixed-bed burnout zones is traversed with a flow of oxygen-containing gas. A portion of the combustion bed associated with the second fixed bed burn-out zone is traversed with a flow of a hot combustion gas from the combustion chamber.

摘要: A high temperature furnace and method for thermally decomposing solid combustible fuels into usable products to provide a source of heat to a selected area is disclosed. Solid combustible fuel, such as waste automobile tires, are introduced into a reaction vessel or combustion chamber which is defined by an outer wall. The reaction vessel has an upper portion and a lower portion with a central partition dividing the lower portion into compartments. Each compartment holds a fuel bed having a selected height wherein the sold fuel accumulates as it is being decomposed. Each compartment also has a bottom opening. Air ducts located along the outer wall of the reaction vessel and in the central partition supply pressurized air to the interior of the reaction vessel. An exhaust duct which communicates with the upper portion of the reaction vessel is supplied for venting off combustion or pyrolysis products from the reaction vessel to the selected area. A rotatably driven feeder extends across the bottom opening of each compartment so that the feeder acts as a bottom support for supporting the fuel bed of each compartment and for generally causing undecomposed material from the bottom of each fuel bed to be discharged out of the reaction vessel through the bottom opening as the feeder is rotated.

摘要: An apparatus and process for the incineration of sewage sludge in a concurrent-flow multiple hearth furnace-incinerator which complies with the fundamental thermodynamic conditions required to establish a sustained and stable combustion condition. The sewage sludge is incinerated to a truly inert and odorless ash, while yielding off-gas which has been burned free of all malodorous and condensable volatiles from which trouble-free steam and in-house electric power can be commercially produced and an excess sold to the local utility company.
