    摘要: Systems and methods for assisting a user with creating a custom shots-made basketball practice arrangement are provided. A detector detects made basketball shots. A user interface receives a user selection of a subset of pass receipt locations for a custom shots-made basketball practice arrangement located about a basketball playing surface. A control system receives data indicating the user selection and a number of shots to be made and commands an ejector to launch basketballs to a particular one of the pass receipt locations in the subset until data is received indicating that the selected number of shots to be made are made at the particular one of said plurality of pass receipt locations, cease launching the basketballs to the particular one of the pass receipt locations, and begins launching basketballs to a second particular one of the pass receipt locations in said subset.

    摘要: A system for assisting a user with practicing basketball skills includes an ejector which passes basketballs to shooting locations at a playing surface for the user to catch and shoot towards a basketball goal. A user interface includes individually selectable input locations arranged along a rendering of a three-point arc to represent the shooting locations. The user interface receives a user selection of individual ones of the individually selectable input locations (“the selected locations”) through direct, physical touch by said user to define a custom basketball pass sequence. A controller electronically connected with said user interface and said ejector receives the user selection from the user interface and programs the ejector to pass basketballs to individual ones of the shooting locations corresponding with the selected locations forming said custom basketball pass sequence.

    摘要: A standoff range, sense-through-obstruction radar system is capable of detecting micro-Doppler, or life form signatures, and movements through obstructions at stand-off ranges and displaying the target information over a live video feed of the area under surveillance. The sense-through-obstruction radar system comprises an antenna assembly that includes a horn antenna and a reflector configured to reflect radio frequency (RF) energy to/from the horn antenna. An antenna pointing assembly supports the antenna assembly. The antenna pointing assembly is configured to move the antenna assembly to point the antenna assembly toward an obstruction. A sensor assembly is mounted to the antenna assembly so that the sensor assembly is aligned with the RF beam formed from the RF energy reflected from the reflector to the horn antenna. The sensor assembly is configured to detect the location of the obstruction and to provide information to assist pointing of the antenna assembly toward the obstruction.

    摘要: A passive navigation system for an airborne platform includes an onboard computer having a database that contains preprogrammed information regarding pre-existing ground-based signal emitters (e.g. cell-phone, television and radio broadcast transmitters). For each emitter, the database includes the geolocation of the emitter and identifying signal characteristic(s) of each emitter's signal such as frequency, bandwidth and strength. An antenna array and digital receiver cooperate with the computer on the platform to passively receive signals from the emitters and determine a direction of arrival (DOA) for selected signals. The computer also extracts identifying signal characteristic(s) from selected received signals and matches them against the database information to ascertain the geolocation of the emitter that corresponds to the received signal. The platform location is then calculated from the DOA(s) and emitter geolocations using a triangulation-type algorithm. Also, preprogrammed site-specific terrain scattering information can be compared to observed scattered signals to enhance system accuracy.

    摘要: A radar receiver having a clutter-elimination filter in the receiver's intermediate frequency stage. The filter is centered on the intermediate frequency f.sub.i and has a transfer function in which a band-pass characteristic is superimposed on a band-rejection characteristic. The band-pass response has a principal lobe substantially conforming to the function (sin x)/x with x=(w-w.sub.i).pi.T. The band-rejection response presents an attenuation zone centered about f.sub.i ; this zone is wide enough to suppress much of the response from clutter but narrow enough to avoid suppressing much of the energy in the echo from the target. For example, the width of the attenuation zone may be from about f.sub.i -0.2/T to about f.sub.i +0.2/T. The filter provides a maximum response on each side of the attenuation zone, spaced from f.sub.i by about 0.4/T Hz in each direction. Outside the maxima, the response is dominated by the band-pass characteristic and achieves transmission minima at about 1/T Hz above and below f.sub.i. Examples are given of filters providing such transfer functions.
