摘要： A dual mode band-pass filter includes a dielectric body having first and second main surfaces, a metal film partially disposed on the first main surface of the dielectric body or at a predetermined level in the dielectric body, the metal film having any one of an opening, a protrusion, and a cut-out arranged to combine two resonant modes, at least one ground electrode disposed on the second main surface or in the interior of the dielectric body so as to be opposed to the metal film with a portion of the dielectric body being disposed therebetween, and a pair of input-output coupling circuits that are coupled with different portions of the metal film. The dielectric body includes a dielectric ceramic containing a ceramic and a glass as main constituents, capable of being fired simultaneously with Cu, Ag, or Au, and having a Q value of more than approximately 300 at about 10 GHz.

摘要： A microwave filter is disclosed, which filters only a signal of a desired band in a radio communication system. The microwave filter includes a plurality of feed lines and resonators on an upper portion of a substrate, and a ground surface below the substrate. Each of the resonators includes coupled meander lines, the meander lines having three or more sections. The resonators are arranged in such a manner that the adjacent resonators are symmetrical to each other. The feed lines are formed at one side of the resonators at both edges, and are coupled spaced apart from the resonators in parallel to the resonators. Thus, the microwave filter can be fabricated at a small size because the meander-lined resonators have a small size. The microwave filter also has excellent transmission characteristics such as pseudo-elliptic characteristics.

The prior-art laminate filter has the problem that an attenuation band is formed only on the low-frequency side or on the high-frequency side. A laminate filter has stripline patterns that are first, second, and third resonant elements disposed on a dielectric layer, a capacitively coupled (C-coupled) pattern disposed between the first and second stripline patterns, an inductively coupled (M-coupled) pattern disposed between the second and third stripline patterns.

摘要： An RF filter that includes a substrate having a plurality of regions, each having respective substrate properties including a relative permeability and a relative permittivity. At least one filter section is coupled to one of the regions of the substrate which has different substrate properties in comparison to other regions. Other filter sections can be coupled to other substrate regions having different substrate properties. The permeability and/or permittivity can be controlled by the addition of meta-materials to the substrate and/or by the creation of voids in the substrate. The RF filter can be a stepped impedance filter. One filter section includes a transmission line section having an impedance influenced by the region of the substrate on which the filter section is disposed. The transmission line section construction can be a microstrip, buried microstrip, or stripline. A supplemental layer of the substrate can be disposed beneath the filter section.
