    摘要: A resonator and filter including the resonator is disclosed. The resonator (100) includes an open conductive loop (100) with folded transmission line segments (124, 134) extending from the adjacent ends of the loop. Of each transmission line segment, the portion emanating from the respective end of the loop is positioned generally along-side the corresponding portion of the other transmission line segment. That is, the two transmission line segments are folded away from each other. The resonator can be generally elongated in shape, with the loop at one end of the long axis and the transmission line segments at the other. The transmission line segments occupy a footprint (W2) that is not substantially greater than the width of the loop (W1). The filter includes multiple resonators of the invention, each resonator being coupled to at least another or the resonators. The resonators can be positioned in a side-by-side fashion, with the long axes of the resonators parallel or anti-parallel to one another.

    摘要: Novel structures and methods for forming useful high temperature superconducting devices, most particularly resonators, are provided. Structures resulting in reduced peak current densities relative to known structures achieve numerous desirable benefits, especially including the reduced intermodulation effects of earlier resonators. In one aspect of this invention, a spiral in, spiral out resonator is provided, characterized in that it has an odd number of long runs, at least equal to five long runs, where the long runs are connected by turns, and wherein there are at least two sequential turns of the same handedness, followed by at least two turns of the opposite handedness. In yet another aspect of this invention, it has been discovered that reducing the size of the input and output pads of HTS resonators increases the relative inductance compared to the capacitance. Yet another resonator structure is a spiral snake resonator having a terminal end disposed within the resonator. A wide in the middle structure and wide at peak current density resonator structures utilize enlarged width portions of the resonator in those areas where current density is largest. In yet another aspect of this invention, operation of resonators in high modes, above the fumdamental mode, reduce peak current densities. Resonators operated in modes in which current in adjacent long runs are in the same direction further serve to reduce current densities, and intermodulation effects. Symmetric current structures and modes of operation are particularly advantageous where far field effects are compensated for.

    摘要: It is an object of the present invention to realize a low-pass filter that has an increased number of stages of filter elements and can obtain a large combined capacitance with a simple configuration of a plane circuit, can set an attenuation pole in the vicinity of a pass band and has a steep out-of band attenuation characteristic. In order to attain such an object, three or more top end open stubs, which are set to have a large electric length in a range in which a length of is shorter than null of a wavelength of a pass frequency, are disposed substantially in parallel so that their respective open ends face an identical direction to thereby form a combined line, and a high impedance line that is shorter than the wavelength of the pass frequency is connected to at least one part among parts between neighboring ends on the opposite side of open ends of the top end open stubs.

    摘要: Disclosed is a high-temperature superconductor low-pass filter for removing broadband harmonics in a wireless communication system. The high-temperature superconductor low-pass filter includes a coupled line section and a transmission line section, in which the coupled line section is connected in parallel with the transmission line section. The coupled line section has two microstrip open-stub type parallel stripe lines stacked on a high-temperature superconductor, and the transmission line section has one stripe line. Since the high-temperature superconductor low-pass filter has attenuation poles at a stopband, it has stopband characteristics to 7-8 times wider than a cutoff frequency. The high-temperature superconductor low-pass filter can easily remove sub-harmonics which are inevitably occurred in the wireless communication system.
