摘要: Base station antennas include a RET actuator, a plurality of phase shifters and a plurality of mechanical linkages, where each mechanical linkage is connected between the RET actuator and a respective one or more of the phase shifters. The RET actuator includes a rotary drive element movable in a first rotary direction and a second rotary direction. A first drive system is connected between the rotary drive element and the first mechanical linkage. The first drive system moves the first mechanical linkage in a first linear direction and a second linear direction when the rotary drive element is moved in the first rotary direction. A second drive system connected between the rotary drive element and the second mechanical linkage. The second drive system moves the second mechanical linkage in a third linear direction and a fourth linear direction when the rotary drive element is moved in the second rotary direction.

摘要: Methods and systems for a steerable antenna array are disclosed. The antenna array includes an array of antenna elements aligned in rows and columns on a substrate. Additionally, the antenna array includes a microstrip feed within the substrate, where the feed is configured to electromagnetically couple to each antenna element of the array of antenna elements. The antenna array further includes a ground plane within the substrate. Additionally, for each antenna element, the antenna array includes a first cavity disposed between the ground plane and feed, and a second cavity disposed on the other side of the ground plane from the first cavity. The antenna array further includes a plurality of fluid lines configured to selectively add or remove fluid from the cavities coupled to the fluid line and cause a deflection of the ground plane in a region of the cavities coupled to the fluid line.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a phase shifter, which includes: a phase shift circuit board with conductive traces printed thereon; and a phase shift circuit board with conductive traces printed thereon; and a slide device with a first tooth section configured to be driven, wherein movement of the first tooth section drives the slide device to slide on the phase shift circuit board. In addition, the present disclosure further relates to a remote electrical tilt system, which includes an actuator, a transmission mechanism, and at least one phase shifter according to the present disclosure, wherein the actuator is configured to drive the transmission mechanism, and the transmission mechanism engages the first tooth section to drive the slide device to slide on the phase shift circuit board. In addition, the present disclosure also relates to a base station antenna which includes the remote electrical tilt system according to the present disclosure. The base station antenna according to the present disclosure may improve the stability of the transmission of the remote electrical tilt system and increase the space utilization of the remote electrical tilt system.

摘要: An embodiment of an antenna array includes a cavity, signal couplers, and antenna elements. The cavity is configured to reinforce a reference signal (e.g., a standing reference wave) having a wavelength λ, and each of the signal couplers is configured to generate a respective intermediate signal in response to the reference signal at a respective location of the cavity. And each of the antenna elements (e.g., conductive patches) is configured to radiate a respective elemental signal in response to an intermediate signal from a respective one of the signal couplers. In operation, the elemental signals interfere with one another to form a transmission beam. Controlling the cavity to introduce phase differences between the antenna elements can allow a wider pitch between adjacent antenna elements without the need for large, costly phase shifters, where the pitch can approach its theoretical limit of approximately λ/2.

摘要: An actuator gearbox includes a drive shaft including a plurality of gear linkages that are spaced apart along the drive shaft, and a plurality of output shafts adjacent respective ones of the plurality of gear linkages. Each of the gear linkages includes a fixed gear coupled to one of the plurality of output shafts and a moving gear that is slideably coupled to the drive shaft. A bias spring is coupled to the moving gear to urge the moving gear out of engagement with the fixed gear. The mechanical switch moves the moving gear into engagement with the fixed gear on the output shaft adjacent the linkage to thereby cause the output shaft to rotate in response to rotation of the drive shaft.
