摘要:
A break-out assembly includes an enclosure including a first side with a first opening and a second side, opposite the first side, with a plurality of second openings. A conductive frame is disposed within the enclosure. The conductive frame includes a first spring basket aligned to the first opening and a plurality of second spring baskets aligned to the plurality of second openings.

Example telecommunications apparatus (100) include an enclosure (103) having an enclosure base (101) and a enclosure cover (102) that join together at a sealed interface. The enclosure cover (102) is latchable to the enclosure base (101). A splice tray assembly (106) is disposed within the interior (104) of the enclosure (103). The splice tray assembly (106) includes splice trays (150) mounted to a manager insert. A splitter (192) may be provided on the manager insert. The manager insert also may include a groove plate (160) latched to a base plate (180). One or more port assemblies (107-109) enable cables to enter and/or exit the enclosure (103) through sealed cable ports (145-147). The port assemblies (107-109) may provide anchors (214, 234) for cable strength members and/or organizers (243, 244, 253, 254) for fiber tubes.

A wire cable assembly, such as those used in electric or hybrid electric vehicles, having a plurality of shielded wire cables spliced together. The center conductors are joined together and enclosed in an inner insulator. The shield conductors of the cable are joined by an electrically conductive sleeve enclosing the inner insulator and attached to the shield conductors of the shielded wire cables. The sleeve separates the outer insulating layers of the shielded wire cables. The sleeve is encased by an outer insulator that is sealed to the outer insulating layers of the shielded wire cables. A method of splicing shielded wire cables together is also presented.

A thermal shield and hermetic seal is provided to prevent deterioration of plastic insulation at a spliced portion of a cable, which includes insulated conductors. The shield includes a sheet of aluminum material wrapped directly around exposed insulated conductors of the cable, a pressure wrap wrapped over the sheet of aluminum material, and an enclosure housing the wrapped insulated conductors. The shield and seal thus provides thermal and hermetic protection that prevents heat exposure as well as infiltration of oxygen and ultraviolet radiation into the splice.

A fiber optic splice closure assembly has two end plate assemblies, and a closure base and a closure cover attached to the end plate assemblies. An adapter is secured within a cable entrance port in the end plate assembly to alter the end plate opening to accommodate a fiber optic cable. The adapter restrains the cable sheath against axial forces and provides a seal between the optical fiber cable, the adapter and the end plate assembly. A bracket assembly is provided to anchor the optical fiber cable strength member to the end plate assembly. The closure provides a mounting bar secured to said end plate assemblies proximate the closure base and a mounting platform secured to the mounting bar.

A connector (10) for joining coaxial or other cables includes an electronic or other connector (12) located in a housing (11). The housing has outlets (17) and (43) for a distribution cable carrying a signal, and outlets (19) for branch cables which take signals away from that cable to subscribers. The outlets (17)(43) may be separate from and are distinguishable from the branch outlets (19). The housing (11) may comprise a base portion (13) with at least one cover portion (14) or (11) which is releasably secured to the base portion by a snap connection to give easy access to the connectors (12) and cables.

An enclosure for interconnecting multiple branch connections from a trunk communications carrier. A housing supports a terminal block having connections for multiple branch cables and includes an opening for routing signal carrying cable into the housing from the trunk communications carrier. The housing also has multiple spaced apart access openings that extend along one wall of said housing to enable branch cables to be routed away from the housing from the terminal connector. A grommet assembly has a grommet strip defining multiple exit regions spaced along the grommet strip for alignment with the access openings in said one wall of the housing when secured to the housing. A plate that overlies the grommet strip for securing the grommet strip in contact with the housing and that defines a series of spaced apart openings that align with the access openings in the one housing wall and that also align with the exit regions of the grommet strip for allowing one or more branch cables to exit the plate, grommet strip and one housing wall for connection to the terminal connector.

A cable assembly for efficiently connecting together SCSI devices and multi-channel adapters. The cable assembly includes a plurality of cables clamped together by a pass-thru bulkhead assembly, so that the cables can pass through the bulkhead of a cabinet to a multi-channel adapter mounted inside the cabinet. The cables electrically connect to the multi-channel adapter using low profile connectors to maximize the number of connectors that can couple to the adapter and to minimize the amount of clearance required between adapters in the cabinet.
