    摘要: A path finding system for a telephone switching system having a plurality of reed relay matrix stages is described. Different groups of junctors are connected to different matrices of the stage at one end of the system, while different matrices of the stage at the opposite end of the system are connected to line circuits. Links are established through the stage at the junctor end of the system by connecting a free junctor to its associated matrix and then scanning the matrix associated with the free junctor to rapidly select a free link therein. Connections are then automatically extended through the remaining stages to the line circuit of the subscriber with respect to which communication services are desired.

Data communications between the first group of processors and the second group of processors is achieved on a distributed basis such that each processor of the first group designates a subset of the second group of processors as potential receivers, and conducts communications with the first non-busy processor of the subset.

    摘要: An addressing circuit has a register search counter (20) connected to a first multiplexer (24) and to a second multiplexer (25), a memory (33) connected to the output of the first multiplexer for writing the type of processing of each register, a register counter (26) connected to the second multiplexer which is itself connected by its output to three address registers (28, 30, 32) in series. The output of the second register (30) is connected to the first multiplexer to write address the memory under the control of a write signal (CRW). The register search counter read addresses the memory and stops as soon as a register requiring rapid processing is detected; the second multiplexer receives a transfer signal (ST) to transmit the address applied to the output of the register search counter; the register counter (26) stops during the transfer signal.

    摘要: An electronic telephone system has a plurality of extensions connected radially to a central equipment by respective cables each providing separate speech and signalling paths. Each of the signalling paths is provided by a balanced conductor pair terminated by a matching impedance at the extension unit. The conductor pairs are connected to a common control unit at the central equipment, which scans the extensions in a time-division multiplex mode, signalling data being transmitted over the conductor pair from the addressed extension to the control unit in a first period of the time slot allotted to the extension, and signalling data being transmitted from the control unit to the addressed extension in a second period of the allotted time slot. The system is also served by a number of trunks, which are scanned by the common control unit, the trunks being interfaced with the central equipment by interface units which include protective circuitry and logic control circuits.

A data select circuit is responsive to a control signal derived from a logic control circuit which receives common control command to selectively gate data from one of the digit decoder, hold register or line selector to a storage location of the junctor memory. The junctor memory includes a plurality of memory chips which are sequentially scanned, but may be randomly accessed.

    摘要: A telephone switching system, for example a P.A.B.X., has tandem-connected A, B and C switching stages connected between input speech paths and supervisory units of a plurality of different types which types are utilized for different types of call through the system. Each switching stage consists of a plurality of full-availability reed relay switch units. There is only a single A-B link between each A switch unit and each B switch unit and a single B-C link between each B switch unit and each C switch unit. Selection of a free route through the switching stages between an input path and a free supervisory unit of a particular type to which the path is to be connected is effected by selecting each C switch unit in turn and examining the pairs of links from each B switch unit to the A switch unit to which the line is connected and to the selected C switch unit to ascertain if there is a free route to that C switch unit. When a suitable C switch unit is found, the pairs of links terminating on the individual B switch units are examined in turn to find a suitable B switch unit. Finally, a free supervisory unit connected to the selected C switch unit is chosen and the required connection through the three stages can then be established.
