    摘要: The system automatically generates electronic commands necessary to modify or provision different types of program control switches as may be included in a public switch telephone network. A data schema and organization of tables and data structures provide for command generation for each of the different switch types. Additionally, a self-modifying dynamic data structure is used as a common area to communicate information between various programs and formulate the commands due to a limited number of parameters used to communicate information between programs that generate the command for the switches. A technique for verifying switch commands automatically generated by a second new provisioning system is described. A technique is described for automatically extracting switch specific commands and options as generated by a first system for use in populating data stores used in a second system for command generation.

    摘要: A programmable sequential logic circuit processes data according to a prom containing instructions of different lengths, each instruction composed of one or several words. The sequential logic circuit comprises a memory containing the instructions and data words, an arithmetic and logical processing unit (ALU), and an instruction register for temporarily storing an instruction word read from the memory. An adder is connected to index the contents of address registers by adding the contents of one of a plurality of data registers. A system clock circuit driven by a clock and an operation code in the instruction register to control the operation of the sequential logic circuit. Access to the ALU is through an input multiplexer inputs of which are connected to the output of the memory and the outputs of the data registers and of the address registers. The output of the ALU is connected to an output bus via a circuit having outputs which adopt a high impedance state when they are not enabled. The output bus is also connected to the inputs of the memory and of the data registers. Complete processing of an instruction according to the instruction word temporarily stored in the instruction register is performed in a plurality of phases under the control of the system clock circuit. A first portion of the plurality of phases is devoted to acquisition of one or several data or instruction words, and the second portion is devoted to the execution of an operation by the ALU according to the operation code maintained in the instruction word stored in the instruction register.

    摘要: Sensors SE and actuators AT electrically linked to groups of circuit components to be monitored, e.g. in a central office of a telephone system, are connected to a preprocessor, interfacing them with a microprocessor, which detects an incoming request signal from any group and, after evaluation, sends it on to the microprocessor, causing the latter to emit a confirmation signal which the preprocessor transmits to the corrsponding group actuator. A component-identification signal received from that group and evaluated by the preprocessor is then forwarded to the microprocessor which thereupon, through the preprocessor, instructs the corresponding component actuator to send out an enabling signal to the component thus identified. A response by that component, in the form of an error signal, also undergoes evaluation in the preprocessor and is then passed on to the microprocessor where it is classified and read out to a printer.

    摘要: A communication conferencing arrangement is disclosed which relies upon the use of a plus/minus (+/-) nonlocking button followed by the operation of a button associated with any other line appearing at the station. If the operated line button is associated with a currently active line that line will be removed from the conference. If, however, the operated button is associated with a nonactive line (held or idle) then that line will be added, in conference fashion, with the communication leads of the enabling station. Provision is made to allow any number of added connections up to a preset maximum number at any station.

    摘要: Selectively seizable operating units (e.g. switches, lines or coders), forming part of different groups A, B etc. of identical units, are monitored to detect any change of state in a unit of, say, group A followed within a predetermined test period by a change of state of a unit of, say, group B. From the occurrence of the second transition, and in the absence of a switchover of any other unit of either group during the test period, an operative association is recognized between the two units in which these transitions were consecutively detected. The monitoring of all the units under surveillance is carried out in time-division sequence by cyclically scanned sensors individually assigned to them.
