The table features a skeletal frame arrangement with universal top mounts, selectable curved tubular or rod like legs, at least one and preferably two hub couplers or tubular leg and pedestal base, and optional rotatable or slide on levelers for uneven surfaces. A method and system disclosed provides purchaser customization of the table and complementary ensembles.

The work surface system includes a work surface and a support for supporting the work surface at an angle with respect to horizontal. The work surface provides support for the user's arms while using a keyboard or mouse. The work surface can be smaller than the surface on which the work surface system rests. The angle of the work surface can be adjusted if desired, and the work surface also can be mounted on the support in a pivoting fashion to permit the work surface to be tipped up to permit access to a storage space beneath the work surface if desired. The work surface can include a separately adjustable keyboard support.

The vertical positions of the fixtures coupled to the body of tile upright can be adjusted continuously to achieve different heights for components such as work surfaces, shelves, suspended units, screens, lighting equipment and the like. The upright is self-supporting and permits multiple connection of fixtures which are independent of one another.

A rigid frame assembly supports both working surfaces and a motor for driving the rotatable working surface by way of a traction wheel. The motor is controlled by a switch situated on the fixed working surface. The working surfaces have hingedly connected side panels to enable the movable table to pass through doorways. Another fixed working surface can be mounted on the rigid frame assembly by way of a post extending through a hole in the rotatable working surface.
