    摘要: A composite material structure can be constructed using an airforming process that includes filling the inflated support mold with a fluid structural material and allowing the fluid structural material to harden within the support mold. Additional steps can include inflating the support mold with a first fluid, forming fluid escape outlets in the support mold, and removing the support mold after allowing the fluid structural material to harden. The first fluid can be air, the support mold can be a fiberglass resin, and/or the fluid structural material can be a concrete composite material. Fluid can escape through the fluid escape outlets during the filling. The finished structure can include multiple structural components formed from a homogenous concrete composite material and having curved and non-planar geometries. The concrete composite material can include aluminum alloy fibers.

    摘要: A method of producing a cylindrical insulator for a spark plug includes a molding step of forming ceramic powder filled in a cavity defined by a mold and a molding pin into a compact. In a first removal step of removing the compact from the mold, the compact has at least one protrusion formed in at least one recess of the molding pin formed in an outer cylindrical surface of the molding pin, and the at least one protrusion is locked in the at least one recess, thereby allowing the compact to be removed with the molding pin from the mold. In a second removal step of removing the molding pin from the compact, the molding pin is turned or rotated in the circumferential direction about the compact, causing the at least one recess to cut the at least one protrusion from the compact, and thereafter the molding pin is removed from the compact.

    摘要: A method is disclosed for making a molded refractory article comprising the steps of providing a mold including a molding pattern, the mold and molding pattern defining a mold cavity; filling the mold cavity around the molding pattern with a mixture comprising refractory particles and a heat fugitive binder; inserting a plurality of elements of relatively high melting point material into the mixture to displace a portion of the mixture; curing the mixture; separating the mold and molding pattern from the cured mixture; and sintering the combination of the cured mixture and mixture displacing elements to provide a reinforced molded refractory article. The mixture displacing elements preferably comprise a plurality of parallel tool steel rods. Also disclosed is an apparatus for molding the aforedescribed reinforced refractory article.

    摘要: An apparatus for the production of calcium silicate based stone blanks including at least one mold into which a crude mixture is poured, the mixture comprising granulated silicate-containing material, lime, water, a cement and foam. The mold has a cover, a bottom and side plate, with one of the plates being movable to open and close the mold. The crude mixture is heated in the mold essentially uniformly to a temperature between 45.degree. C. and 90.degree. C. until achieving the desired blank-strength by strength-forming reactions of the cement in the crude mixture. The heater used for this purpose is a high frequency voltage heater using two parts of the mold as condensor plates connectable with a high frequency voltage source. The formed stone blanks are thereafter removed from the mold and transferred to a transport station.
