    Abstract: Techniques for mobile broadband and machine type communication network coexistence are provided. A method can include embedding, by a system comprising a processor, narrowband carriers, comprising a first narrowband carrier having a first bandwidth and a second narrowband carrier having the first bandwidth, into respective portions of an enhanced wireless broadband carrier, the enhanced wireless broadband carrier having a second bandwidth that is greater than the first bandwidth; transmitting, by the system to network equipment via the first narrowband carrier, a master information block comprising a first bandwidth field indicative of the first bandwidth and a second bandwidth field, distinct from the first bandwidth field, indicative of the second bandwidth; and scheduling, by the system, the network equipment on the second narrowband carrier in response to transmitting the master information block to the network equipment.

    Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for a power control system in a multi-hop integrated access and backhaul network. In the multi-hop integrated access and backhaul network, a donor node can communicate with user equipment devices and relay nodes that have varying power levels; and to avoid receiving uplink transmissions with varying power levels which can impact automatic gain control systems and lower overall throughput, the power control system can manage the power levels of the relay node in order to reduce the difference in power levels. The power control system can schedule relay node devices to transmit uplink transmissions alongside user equipment devices that have a high signal strength; schedule relay nodes and user equipment devices to separate symbols within a time slot; and/or perform closed loop power control management at the relay node to reduce the power level for an uplink transmission.

    Abstract: According to an embodiment, a system can comprise a processor and a memory that can store executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations. The operations can include generating a reference signal in an initial domain, and first transforming the reference signal into a time-frequency domain, resulting in a first transformed reference signal.     Abstract: Discontinuous access to unlicensed spectrum is facilitated in a new radio access environment. According to an embodiment, a system can comprise performing a scanning procedure that determines whether a first subband and a second subband is available for transmission. The system can further facilitate determining whether the first subband and the second subband are adjacent, wherein a first channel formed at the first subband comprising a first guard band and a second channel formed at the second subband comprising a second guard band that is adjacent to the first guard band. The system can further facilitate in response to determining that the first subband and the second subband are adjacent and available for transmission, eliminating the first guard band and the second guard band.

    Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards operating a user equipment node as a scheduler user equipment (e.g., which can be a local manager of other nodes in a group). The scheduler user equipment receives a scheduling request for the scheduling of the resources for transmission of data by a transmitter user equipment, and based on the traffic type requested, schedules the transmitter user equipment and receiver user equipment(s) with scheduling data / allocated radio resources. The transmitter user equipment can directly transmit to the receiver user equipment(s) on the allocated radio resources, e.g., without further involvement of the scheduler user equipment / local manager. For cellular data, the scheduler user equipment can schedule the transmitter user equipment to transmit to the scheduler user equipment as a receiver node.
