    Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards lossless delivery of data when there are route changes, e.g., in an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) multi-hop relay network. When a route changes is to occur, the last unchanged node in a multiple hop route preserves the data (e.g., copies unacknowledged and unsent PDCP PDUs from the protocol stack corresponding to the radio link control layer of the failed relay hop, and populates a replacement protocol stack for the node in the new route with the preserved data. Also described is pre-emptive detection of link failure, which triggers a route change based on monitoring retransmissions to detect a deteriorating link, which can occur before complete link communication failure.

    Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards over the air synchronization of network nodes. In general, the techniques disclosed herein can be implemented by a first base station node device and a second base station node device. A wireless backhaul connection between the base station node devices allows the first base station node device to connect to a core network via the second base station node device. The techniques disclosed herein can be implemented as a protocol including communications back and forth between the base station node devices, which enables measurement of communication delays such as propagation delays and processing delays. The base station node devices can then use the measured communication delays to better synchronize clocks used to time radio frequency transmissions.

    Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards overcoming a radio link interruption event, for example caused in the mmWave spectrum by a physical blockage between user equipment and a communications network distributed unit. Described is executing an inter-distributed unit beam switch in response to a radio link interruption trigger when no beams are available to support the user equipment from the distributed unit currently serving the user equipment. The inter-distributed unit beam switch may be performed by notifying a flow control process of the radio link interruption, which can switch to a different distributed unit such as selected by beam quality measurements.

    Abstract: A system that facilitates monitoring communication between a network node device and a communication device, wherein information is communicated by utilizing a first distribution unit (DU) node device comprising a first medium access control (MAC) layer component of the network node device and receiving condition information representative of a condition, wherein the condition indicates whether to add a second DU node device comprising a second MAC layer component to be utilized by the communication device.     Abstract: Concurrent mini-slot based and slot based transmissions to a single device are provided herein. A method can comprise transmitting, by a network device comprising a processor, first data via a first control channel indicating a slot based transmission for a device and second data via a second control channel indicating a mini-slot based transmission for the device. A first length of the slot based transmission can comprise a defined number of symbols and a second length of the mini-slot based transmission can comprise some of the defined number of symbols. The method can also comprise transmitting, by the network device, the slot based transmission and the mini-slot based transmission. The slot based transmission and the mini-slot based transmission can be logically separate transmissions that can be scheduled to be concurrent transmissions for the device.

    Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards sharing a radio by multiple subscriber identities at a device. A time division multiplexing pattern at the device radio gives primary radio use to a first subscriber identity, while also providing time windows for radio use to a second subscriber identity. In response to a communication by the second subscriber identity, the time division multiplexing pattern can be changed to give the primary radio use to the second subscriber identity. Also, a radio resource control protocol can designate appropriate states for the different subscriber identities, designating the subscriber identity with primary radio use as connected, while the other subscriber identity is designated as inactive or idle.
