Abstract: A user equipment (UE) monitors a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) in multiple component carriers (CC). The UE determines if the UE is operating in carrier aggregation (CA) mode having a first CC in a first frequency band and a second CC in a second frequency band. When the UE is operating in CA with a first CC in the first frequency band and the second CC in the second frequency band, the UE determines a span pattern for PDCCH symbols being received on the first and second CC and selects a PDCCH monitoring type based on, at least, the span pattern. A UE also determines if a first CC and a second CC of a CA combination are collocated and selects a PDCCH monitoring type based on, at least, the determination of whether the first and second CC are collocated.

Abstract: Some aspects of this disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for implementing designs for configurations of resource elements to carry reference signals for a user equipment (UE). A reference signal can be processed by the UE according to the configuration of resource elements to carry reference signals. The configurations can be determined by the base station, and received from the base station by the UE. The base station determines the configurations based on information or parameters provided by the UE, e.g., a coherence bandwidth of the channel, a coherence time of the channel, a preference associated with channel status information reference signal, or a preference associated with demodulation reference signal for the UE.

The processor is also configured to transmit, via the transceiver and in accordance with the configuration for the multiple layer PUSCH transmission that uses more than one codeword, the multiple layer PUSCH transmission. The multiple layer PUSCH transmission is transmitted on at least a first layer of the multiple layers using a first codeword of the more than one codeword, and on at least a second layer of the multiple layers using a second codeword of the more than one codeword.

An example method can include a base station receiving an indication from a user equipment (UE) of a capability for wake-up signal (WUS) monitoring in a radio resource control (RRC) connected mode while in a sleep state. Abstract: Performing UCI multiplexing includes generating PUCCH resources Z at an L1 HP procedure and an L1 LP procedure. The L1 HP procedure and the L1 LP procedure results in a plurality of HP PUCCHs and LP PUCCHs, respectively. A modified procedure for Set Q to resources Z is performed with the plurality of HP PUCCHs and LP PUCCHs as inputs. The plurality of HP PUCCHs according to starting symbols is scanned to identify an earliest starting HP PUCCH. A PUCCH from the plurality of LP PUCCHs or HP PUCCHS that overlaps with the earliest starting HP PUCCH is collected. Inter-L1 priority multiplexing is performed on the earliest starting HP PUCCH and the collected PUCCH, which may result in a new HP PUCCH. The new HP PUCCH is inserted into the Set Q. The modified procedure is repeated until there is no overlap among the HP PUCCHs and the LP PUCCHs.

Abstract: A communication system provides reliable wideband communications with reduced power consumption in a user equipment (UE) receiver. A UE may include receiver circuitry to receive a radio frequency (RF) signal from a wireless network and output an analog baseband signal. The RF signal includes M copies of a duplicated signal in a frequency domain. The analog baseband signal includes the M copies of the duplicated signal uniformly offset from one another in the frequency domain by a bandwidth F and including a gap between adjacent copies. The UE further includes an anti-aliasing analog filter an analog to digital converter (ADC). The ADC samples an output of the anti-aliasing analog filter at a sampling frequency selected to obtain a digital baseband signal comprising a combined digital copy of the M copies of the duplicated signal folded over each other.
