    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a propylene polymer composition comprising at least one propylene copolymer (C-PP), and an α-nucleating agent (NU), wherein the propylene copolymer (C-PP) comprises two propylene copolymer fractions (PP1) and (PP2), wherein propylene copolymer fraction (PP1) is contained in the propylene copolymer (C-PP) in an amount of 30 to 70 wt. % and the propylene copolymer fraction (PP2) is contained in the propylene copolymer (C-PP) in an amount of 70 to 30 wt. %, the comonomer content of propylene copolymer fraction (PP1) is in the range of 0.5 to 2.5 wt.-% and the comonomer content of the propylene copolymer fraction (PP1) is lower compared to the comonomer content of the propylene copolymer fraction (PP2), and the propylene polymer composition has (a) a melt flow rate MFR2 (230° C.) measured according to according to ISO 1133 of 1 to 5 g/10 min., and (b) a comonomer content of 4.0 to 8.0 wt. %, the comonomer(s) being ethylene and/or at least one C4 to C12 α-olefin. The above propylene polymer composition has improved impact and optical properties. The invention further provides a method of producing the above propylene polymer composition and an extrusion blow molded article comprising the above propylene polymer composition.

    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a propylene polymer composition comprising (a) at least 90 wt. %, based on the weight of the total propylene homopolymer composition, of a propylene homopolymer having (i) a pentad isotacticity (mmmm) of equal or more than 98.0 mol.-%, determined by quantitative 13C NMR spectroscopy, (ii) a relative amount of erythro regio-defects of not more than 0.2 mol.-%, determined by quantitative 13C NMR spectroscopy, as described herein, and (b) a nucleating agent (B) selective for the beta-modification of isotactic polypropylene in an amount of from 0.001 to 1.0 wt. %, based on the weight of the total propylene homopolymer composition, wherein said propylene homopolymer composition has a melt flow rate MFR2 (230° C., 2.16 kg) according to ISO 1133 of 0.1 to 10 g/10 min., a beta-phase content of not less than 80%, measured by wide angle x-ray scattering (WAXS). Further disclosed is a moulded propylene homopolymer product obtainable by compression moulding or extrusion of the propylene homopolymer composition.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a polypropylene composition comprising a crystalline fraction (CF) and a soluble fraction (SF), both determined according to CRYSTEX QC analysis, whereby said soluble fraction (SF)—is present in the polypropylene composition in an amount in the range of 10.0 to 35.0 wt.-%, preferably in the range of 11.0 to 32.5 wt.-%, more preferably in the range of 12.0 to 30.0 wt.-%, based on the total weight of the polypropylene composition, —has an intrinsic viscosity (iV(SF)) of at least 2.0 dl/g, preferably in the range of 2.3 to 4.5 dl/g, more preferably in the range of 2.5 to 4.3 dl/g, and—has an ethylene content (C2(SF)) in the range of 14.0 to 29.0 wt.-%, preferably in the range of 17.0 to 26.0 wt.-%, more preferably in the range of 19.0 to 24.0 wt.-%, based on the total weight of the soluble fraction (SF), as determined by FT-IR spectroscopy calibrated by quantitative 13C-NMR spectroscopy; wherein the ratio of the intrinsic viscosity of the soluble fraction to the intrinsic viscosity of the crystalline fraction (iV(SF)/(iV(CF)) is in the range of 2.5 to 5.0, preferably in the range of 2.6 to 4.8; and wherein the polypropylene composition has a melt flow rate MFR2 (230° C., 2.16 kg, ISO 1133) in the range of 105 to 320 g/10 min, preferably in the range of 107 to 300 g/10 min, more preferably in the range of 110 to 280 g/10 min; a process for producing said polypropylene composition; an article comprising said polypropylene composition; and the use of said polypropylene composition for the production of an article.

    Abstract: It is provided a polymer composition including at least the following components A) 40 to 94 wt.-% based on the overall weight of the polymer composition of a polymer blend, including a1) 50 to 95 wt.-% of polypropylene; a2) 5 to 50 wt.-% of polyethylene; C) 3 to 30 wt.-% based on the overall weight of the polymer composition of a compatibilizer being a copolymer of propylene and 1-hexene, including b1) 30 to 70 wt.-% of a first random copolymer of propylene and 1-hexene; and b2) 30 to 70 wt.-% of a second random copolymer of propylene and 1-hexene having a higher 1-hexene content than the first random propylene copolymer b1); 3 to 30 wt.-% of a modifier selected from the group consisting of plastomers, heterophasic polypropylene copolymers different from component B) and mixtures thereof; with the provisos that the weight proportions of components a1) and a2) add up to 100 wt.-%; the weight proportions of components b1) and b2) add up to 100 wt.-%; the weight proportions of components A), B) and C) add up to 100 wt.-%; component A) has a MFR2 (230° C., 2.16 kg) determined according to ISO 1133 in the range from 1.0 to 50.0 g/10 min; and component B) has a 1-hexene content in the range from 2.0 to 8.0 wt.-%.
