摘要: A method and composition of making polymer products from thermoplastic polymers by melt processing. Cross-linked polyethylene are mixed with at least one thermoplastic matrix polymer to form a polymer composition which is melt-processed. The cross-linked polyethylene is formed by a finely divided powder with particles having a screened size of less than 600 μm and a D50 of 200 to 400 μm. Cross-linked polyolefin can be used in a cost-effective and simple manner so that products generally considered a waste, such as scrapped cross-linked polyethylene pipes or unused cross-linked polyethylene discarded in e.g. pipe making processes, can be recycled and used as a starting material for polymer products.

摘要: A process for making a foam composition, the process comprising the steps of: (A) Forming a mixture comprising high density polyethylene (HDPE), low density polyethylene (LDPE) and a peroxide; and (B) Contacting the mixture of (A) with carbon dioxide (CO2) at a pressure greater than or equal to 15 megaPascals (MPa). In one embodiment the peroxide is DTAP. In one embodiment the mixture of (A) further comprises a CO2-philic compound such as PDMS.

摘要: The present invention relates to a process for preparing a shaped composite article comprising a polymer composition and carbon particles being carbon nanotubes or graphene, said polymer composition comprising a mixture of a first polymer and a second polymer, and the composite article comprises from 0.01 to 4% by weight of carbon particles based on the total weight of the composite article as determined according to ISO 11358, characterized in that said process comprises the steps of providing a masterbatch comprising the first polymer and at least 5% of carbon particles by weight of the masterbatch as determined according to ISO 11358, providing the second polymer, and blending and shaping, in the same step, the masterbatch and the second polymer in a single extrusion or injection moulding device to form said shaped composite article.

摘要: A polypropylene composite resin composition and an automotive interior part molded using the polypropylene composite resin composition are provided herein. The polypropylene composite resin composition contains: (a) an easily injection moldable polypropylene polymer, (b) a thermoplastic elastomer for improving impact resistance, (c) a platy inorganic filler surface-treated with an organosilane having affinity for a phytoncide, (d) a phytoncide having deodorizing capability and aromaticity, (e) a processing oil preventing pyrolysis of the phytoncide, and (f) a surfactant for improving the compatibility between the base resin and the phytoncide at specific compositional ratios. The automotive interior part molded using the polypropylene composite resin composition disclosed herein provides a pleasant environment for drivers by removing the offensive odor from volatile organic compounds (VOCs), etc. and maintaining the intrinsic scent of the phytoncide for a long time.

摘要: This disclosure provides for compatibilizer compositions that are useful in compounding polypropylenes and ethylene elastomeric copolymers for injection molding applications. The compatibilizer includes a combination of: Component A of polypropylene homopolymers or polypropylene copolymers containing small amounts of ethylene; and Component B of propylene bipolymers with ethylene and/or other α-olefin comonomers, the bipolymer having a relatively high proportion of propylene moieties, for example, 50-75% propylene. Compared to known or conventional compatibilizer formulations, the bipolymer Component B is relatively propylene rich and generally can be used in the injection molding composition in lower concentrations.
