Abstract:
A method for searching across instant message systems and an interconnecting server are disclosed in the present invention. The method includes: searching in a SIMPLE IM system by a WV-IMPS user, and searching in a WV-IMPS system by a SIMPLE IM user. The interconnecting server includes a message input/output module and a message processing and converting module. The technical solution of the present invention seamlessly connects the search services of the WV-IMPS instant message system and the SIMPLE instant message system, and thus solves the problem on interconnecting search functions between different types of instant message systems.
Abstract:
A technique for providing presentation material in an on-going virtual meeting includes converting a real-world (RW) presentation into a virtual-world (VW) presentation. A media format of the VW presentation corresponds to a media format utilized by a target VW. The VW presentation is then stored in an RW media repository. The VW presentation is associated with an RW media uniform resource locator (URL). A VW screen control script is used to set a VW media URL associated with a VW screen parcel to the RW media URL. The VW presentation is then provided to participants of the VW meeting by accessing the RW media repository using the VW media URL.
Abstract:
A system (and method) is disclosed for consolidating communication details associated with a data object in a call log. The system receives communication information corresponding to a contact record and determines whether a call log includes a previously stored data object having the communication information and associated with the contact record. The system associates the received communication information with the previously stored data object having the communication information in response to existence of the previously stored data object. Otherwise, the system creates for inclusion with the call log a new data object having the received communication information a new data object in response to no previously stored data object having the communication information. The previously stored or new data object is displayed in the call log.
Abstract:
A wireless device and method are provided for redialling of conference calls comprising: establishing a call connection based on a first dialled number; monitoring for subsequent numbers dialled after the establishment of the call connection; determining if the subsequent numbers dialled meet predetermined criteria; and saving the first dialled number and the subsequent numbers dialled in a memory of the wireless device as a saved first dialled number and saved subsequent numbers if the predetermined criteria are met.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to interactive voice response (IVR) system session management and provide a method, system and computer program product for call interruption handling in an IVR data processing system. In an embodiment of the invention, a method for call interruption handling in an IVR data processing system can include detecting a call interruption of a telephone call between a caller and an IVR system during an established IVR session for the caller. The method also can include saving state information for the established IVR session in connection with the caller in response to detecting the call interruption. The method further can include determining a call back number for the caller and initiating a call back of the caller from the IVR system using the call back number of the caller thereby re-establishing an IVR session for the caller. Finally, the method can include restoring the saved state information for the re-established IVR session for the caller.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for automatically sectioning an interaction into sections, in order to get more insight into interactions. The method and apparatus include training, in which a model is generated upon training interactions and available tagging information, and run-time in which the model is used towards sectioning further interactions. The method and apparatus operate on context units within the interaction, wherein each context unit is characterized by a feature vector relate to textual, acoustic or other characteristics of the context unit.
Abstract:
Apparatus and methods for wireless systems provide advertisements to mobile wireless devices to receive a benefit (e.g. service subsidization). In an embodiment, a wireless server manages the operation of a group of mobile wireless devices sharing a least one common criterion to provide wireless services of at least one network provider. At least one policy is maintained by the server for managing the operations. Administration parameters for a advertisement policy are configured for determining whether to provide an advertisement to a respective one of the group of mobile wireless devices to obtain the benefit. Usage of the wireless services is monitored and advertisements provided, in response to the monitoring and the policy, by the server to the group for presentation to respective users. A signal may be generated to advise the benefit provider of the provision of an advertisement. A mobile wireless device is provided for presenting the advertisements.
Abstract:
A profiling system for establishing communication between a plurality of parties (20A, 20B) is disclosed. The profiling system includes a server (12) connected to a communications network (50). The server (12) includes a database (14) for storing user profiles, wherein each of said plurality of parties (20A, 20B) has an associated user profile and each profile includes a calling identity. The server also includes a processor (15) for processing data contained in said user profiles to determine a match between at least two of said plurality of parties (20A, 20B) in accordance with predetermined criteria. The server further includes and a call handling module (16) for initiating a call in the communications network (50) to at least two of the marching parties (20A, 20B) to establish communication between the matching parties (20A, 20B) without presenting the calling identity associated with a user to any other party.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and products are disclosed for providing a ring back to a calling party's communications device. A first call is placed to a called number. An identification sequence is received during the first call. When the first call ends, a second call is placed to a server. The identification sequence is sent to the server during the second call, and the ring back associated with the identification sequence is received. The ring back is stored in memory of the calling party's communications device and retrieved when subsequent calls are made to the called number. The ring back is then presented on the calling party's communications device to indicate the called number is ringing.
Abstract:
Transparent voice registration of a party is provided in order to provide voice verification for communications with a service center. Verbal communication spoken by a party during interaction between the party and an agent of the service center is captured. A voice model associated with the captured communication is created and stored in order to provide voice verification during a subsequent call to the service center. When a requester contacts the service center, a comparison of the voice of the requester and a voice model of the person that the requester claims to be is performed, in order to verify the identity of the requester. Additionally, a voice model associated with a party is automatically updated after a subsequent communication between the party and the service center.
