Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for managing uplink access in a wireless local area network. A station (STA) may inform an access point (AP) of uplink quality of service (QOS) parameters for a traffic flow from the STA. The AP may control uplink resources to satisfy the QoS parameters. For example, the AP may select from among different access modes (including a single user (SU) access mode, an uplink multi-user (UL-MU) scheduled access mode, a multi-user enhanced distributed controlled access (MU EDCA) access mode, or a low latency (LL) access mode). The AP may cause the STA to use a SU access mode or the LL access mode if the UL-MU scheduled access mode and the MU EDCA access mode are not sufficient to satisfy the uplink QoS parameters for the traffic flow.

Abstract: In some implementations, an access point (AP) establishes a restricted target wake time (TWT) session including at least one restricted TWT service period (SP) for peer-to-peer (P2P) communications. The AP admits a group of wireless stations (STAs) associated with P2P communications as members of the restricted TWT session, obtains a transmission opportunity (TXOP) on the wireless channel during the at least one restricted TWT SP, and transmits, on the wireless channel, a protection frame identifying one or more STAs of the group of STAs belonging to the restricted TWT session that are permitted to transmit or receive P2P communications on the wireless channel during the TXOP. The protection frame may also indicate to receiving devices other than the one or more identified STAs that the wireless channel is unavailable for at least a portion of the TXOP.

Abstract: Various aspects of the techniques, methods and devices described in this disclosure relate generally to achieving coexistence between WLAN and P2P networks, and specifically, to coordinated D2D communications. Some aspects particularly involve extending the capabilities of TWT elements transmitted by APs to support periodic reserved access windows during which D2D-enabled wireless devices are permitted to transmit direct wireless communications. Some other aspects relate to sharing time and frequency resources via CAP TDMA or CAP OFDMA techniques, and specifically, to allocating at least some of the time and frequency resources specifically for D2D communications. Some other aspects relate to periodic coordinated access windows during which APs are scheduled to contend but during which D2D devices are not permitted to contend, and specifically, to scheduling a reserved access window within a periodic coordinated access window during which D2D devices may transmit direct communications to other D2D devices despite the permissions associated with the periodic coordinated access windows.

Abstract: In some implementations, a first access point (AP) selects one or more other APs for participation with the first AP in a coordinated access point transmission session. The first AP obtains a transmission opportunity (TXOP), and transmits a frame indicating scheduling information for uplink (UL) or downlink (DL) transmissions to or from the selected APs, the scheduling information indicating a respective start time for the UL or DL transmissions to or from the selected APs, at least two of the start times being offset from one another by a time period associated with decoding a preamble of a wireless packet. The first AP transmits or receives wireless packets to or from one or more associated stations (STAs) at least partially concurrently with the transmission or reception of wireless packets by the selected APs to or from their respective associated STAs based on the scheduling information.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, components, devices, and systems that support techniques for multi-primary channel access. Some aspects more specifically relate to providing assistance information to a first wireless device that supports multi-primary channel access. In some examples, the first wireless device may receive the assistance information from a second wireless device via a first channel. The assistance information may include a first indication to assist the first wireless device with accessing a second channel for the purpose of communicating with a third wireless device. In some implementations, the first indication may provide the first wireless device with timing information, bandwidth-related information, STA service information, synchronization information, transmit opportunity (TXOP) sharing information, or a combination thereof. The first wireless device may communicate with the third wireless device via the second channel based on accessing the second channel in accordance with the first indication from the second wireless device.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems and methods for requesting wireless resources for peer-to-peer (P2P) communications. In some implementations, a wireless communication device transmits a frame over a wireless medium to an access point (AP), the frame including a medium access control (MAC) header carrying a request for the AP to allocate part of a transmission opportunity (TXOP) for P2P communications between the wireless communication device and a client device. The wireless communication device receives a trigger frame allocating a portion of the TXOP for the P2P communications, and transmits or receives P2P data to or from the client device over the wireless medium during the allocated portion of the TXOP. In some instances, the MAC header of the frame includes a Quality-of-Service (QOS) Control field carrying the request. In some other instances, the MAC header of the frame includes an Aggregated-Control (A-Control) subfield carrying the request.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, components, devices and systems for channel access techniques in a multi-hop framework for ultra-high reliability (UHR). Some aspects more specifically relate to a transmission opportunity (TXOP) sharing mechanism according to which wireless communication devices can relay data frames along multiple hops within a same TXOP, a coordinated medium access scheme associated with relaying data frames between a root access point (AP) and a wireless station (STA) via multiple service periods, and various signaling mechanisms and frame formats according to which wireless communication devices can exchange or negotiate information associated with a coordinated medium access scheme. In some implementations, a coordinated medium access scheme may be associated with multiple time epochs (each associated with a service period) and differentiated channel access across the multiple time epochs may facilitate the relay with or without TXOP sharing within the associated service periods.
