Abstract:
In a guiding device for a vertically adjustable window pane of vehicle doors, two holding parts, which each have an upper and a lower sliding block and are spaced away from one another, are provided at a lower edge of the window pane, these holding parts being in operative connection with U-profiled tracks of guide rails mounted in the door body. So that, for framelessly guided window panes having a pronounced lateral drop with respect to the door body located underneath, a guiding device is provided which, while it has a simple construction, ensures a functionally appropriate holding of the window pane in all positions, two tracks are constructed at each guide rail. The upper sliding block interacts with the first track, and the lower sliding block interacts with the second track. The tracks of one guide rail and the two sliding blocks of each holding piece are arranged at opposite longitudinal sides of a common connecting web of the guide rail extending transversely to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle.
Abstract:
In an apparatus for controlling operation of an automatic door with minimum error in a detected door position, a motion sensor is positioned relative to a movable driving member coupled to the door. Pulses having a pulse repetition rate are created in direct proportion to a velocity of movement of the driving member. The pulses are counted and current position of the door determined. Any error arising from a loss or slip in an intermediate transmission mechanism which couples a motor with the final driving member is substantially eliminated. A pair of motion sensing elements as opto-electronic couplers may be provided for sensing a phase relationship between the sensing elements defining a direction of door movement. A pulse interval monitor adapted to generate a signal indicative of a long lapse of time between adjacent pulses from the sensing element may be provided. A sequence control circuit responsive to this generated signal generates a stop command for the motor.
Abstract:
Closing arrangement for sliding doors adapted to move between closed and open positions along a lengthwise guide track. The arrangement includes a rotor operatively connected with connecting links connected to the door and arranged to move along the guide track. Brake arrangement is mounted with a drive member mounted in coaxial alignment with the rotor shaft. The closing arrangement is provided with a coupling device which is operatively connected to the rotor shaft and comprises an electromagnetic coupling and a friction coupling mounted on a common shaft. The coupling device prevents an inadvertant backward movement of the open sliding door to its closed position.
Abstract:
A remotely controlled gate opener for use with a pivotable fence gate is characterized by a closed loop drive chain which is mounted around a set of three triangularly positioned fixed sprockets including a motorized drive sprocket and two positioning sprockets. The gate opener is mounted adjacent the gate post supporting the gate and the gate is attached to the drive chain at a point between the positioning sprockets such that the drive chain, when propelled by the motor, acts to pivot the gate. The preferred embodiment includes a radio controlled motor controller for remote control of the gate opener.
