Abstract:
A method and apparatus for activating a group widget by a widget client are provided. The method includes receiving widgets from at least one surrounding widget server, analyzing the received widgets and grouping the widgets according to the result of the analysis, generating grouped widgets as a group widget, if an event is received from a user, converting a received event into an event related to a configuration widget of a group widget, transmitting the converted event to a corresponding widget server, and receiving a processing result from the widget server which received the transmitted event.
Abstract:
A method includes (1) receiving with a user equipment (UE) information related to an allowed power for autonomous transmission on at least one logical channel mapped to an uplink channel, the uplink channel being set up with a base station and dedicated for packet data transmission, (2) determining, with the UE and in accordance with a scheduling grant received from the base station, an allowed power of scheduled transmission on the uplink channel, (3) determining a total data amount allowed to be transmitted, (4) determining a data amount for the autonomous transmission on the logical channel, the determined autonomous transmission data amount being not greater than an allowed autonomous transmission data amount corresponding to the allowed autonomous transmission power, and (5) determining a data amount for scheduled transmission on the logical channel, the determined scheduled transmission data amount being not greater than an allowed scheduled transmission data amount corresponding to the allowed scheduled transmission power.
Abstract:
A method is provided for performing handover by a terminal in a digital broadcasting system. The method includes measuring strength of a received signal from a serving broadcast transmitter while receiving a broadcast service, and comparing the measured strength of the received signal with a predetermined reference value; periodically measuring strength of the received signal while continuously receiving the broadcast service when the measured strength of the received signal is greater than the reference value; sending a handover start request message for the broadcasting system to a base station of a mobile communication system when the measured strength of the received signal is less than or equal to the reference value; and performing handover from the serving broadcast transmitter to a target broadcast transmitter upon receipt of an accept message for the handover start request for the broadcasting system from the base station.
Abstract:
A method for changing a subscription status of a service in a mobile communication system, and a system thereof. A method is provided for changing a subscription status of a service by a terminal in a mobile communication system. The method includes transmitting a pause request message, in which a pause period of the subscription status is included, to a network entity; receiving, from the network entity, a pause response message including therein a possible pause period for the pause period included in the pause request message, and a trigger for changing validity for a Long-term Key stored in the terminal; and changing validity for the Long-term Key using the trigger for the possible pause period included in the pause response message.
Abstract:
A method for mapping first coded TFCI symbols and second coded TFCI symbols to a radio frame in a transmission apparatus of a mobile communication system for encoding k first TFCI bits and (10−k) second TFCI bits, a sum of the first coded TFCI symbols and the second coded TFCI symbols being 32. The method comprises multiplexing the coded symbols such that the first coded TFCI symbols and the second coded TFCI symbols are uniformly distributed according to a transmission mode and a data rate of the radio frame, and outputting 32 coded symbols; and mapping the 32 multiplexed coded symbols to the radio frame to satisfy the number of the coded symbols that can be mapped to one radio frame, determined according to the transmission mode and the data rate of the radio frame.
Abstract:
Disclosed a method for efficiently performing a frequency shift when a User Equipment (UE) intends to receive at least one service through at least one preferred frequency in a system for providing a Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service (MBMS) service. The method comprises the steps of inserting information for a preferred frequency of a service into a message and transmitting the message to the UE, the service being indicated by the message, the message reporting a start of the service which the UE has joined, receiving a response message including request information representing the indicated service or at least one different service, which has been selected by the UE, and determining if the UE is to perform hard handover to the preferred frequency according to the request information.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for transmitting user equipment (UE) status information in communication with one serving Node B and at least one non-serving Node B in a mobile communication system. The method and apparatus comprise generating transport channel data including UE status information; transmitting the transport channel data to the serving Node B and the at least one non-serving Node B, receiving a response signal for the transport channel data from the serving Node B, and retransmitting the transport channel data if the response signal received from the serving Node B is a non-acknowledge (NACK) signal, and ending the retransmission of the transport channel data if the response signal received from the serving Node B is an acknowledge (ACK) signal.
Abstract:
Service guide transmission/reception methods and apparatuses for providing users with a service guide supporting multiplay service are provided. Service guide delivery information is received at a terminal. Device class grouping information is extracted from the Service guide delivery information. A Service Guide Data Unit (SGDU) having service guide information required for composing a service guide matched to the terminal is received. The service guide composed using the service guide information received by means of the SGDU is displayed.
Abstract:
A method for managing state information of a Remote User Interface (RUI) received from a server providing the RUI in a client. The method includes extracting the state information in response to a store request for the state information from a user; providing the state information to the server; receiving from the server location information indicating a route to a location where the state information is stored; and storing the location information in a bookmark module.
Abstract:
A method is provided for controlling access to a resource of a Remote User Interface (RUI) server in an RUI client of an RUI system. The method includes sending a request for an RUI page for controlling the resource to the RUI server and receiving the RUI page, generating a connection to a Mutual Exclusion (MUTEX) of the RUI server, which corresponds to the resource, using the received RUT page, and sending a request for MUTEX locking for restricting access to the resource to the RUI server.
