Abstract:
Systems and method provide for cell reconfirmation methods for a multi-Radio Access Technology (RAT) capable User Equipment (UE). A method for performing a cell reconfirmation method by a multi-Radio Access Technology (RAT) capable User Equipment (UE), the method includes: performing, by the UE, cell reconfirmation using information derived from a Normal Burst (NB) of a transmitted Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) radio signal, wherein the cell reconfirmation verifies an identity of a GSM cell associated with the transmitted GSM radio signal. The method can further include: operating the multi-RAT capable UE in a serving cell of a first RAT; and selecting the cell reconfirmation method to reconfirm a Global System for Mobile (GSM) communication neighbor cell located in a second RAT which is a GSM RAT, wherein a first cell reconfirmation method uses a received Normal Burst (NB) and a second cell reconfirmation method uses a received Synchronization Burst (SB).
Abstract:
There is described Audio driver circuit comprising a main, 1-bit digital-to-analog converter, adapted to receive a 1-bit oversampled digital audio signal. Thanks to an auxiliary digital-to-analog converter which converts into the analog domain a digital offset compensation value stored in e.g. an OTP memory register 34, and to a summing and filtering arrangement, it is possible to reduce the offset cancellation granularity in order to compensate for the offset of the main digital-to-analog converter in the output signal.
Abstract:
There is described a multiple subscriber identity arrangement having a modem capable of receiving messages related to either one of at least two subscriber identities, but not simultaneously. The arrangement further comprises a control unit configured to, when the modem performs communication activity associated with a first subscriber identity: determine whether gaps not allocated for the communication activity associated with the first subscriber identity coincide with paging occasions associated with a second subscriber identity; and, if at least one gap not allocated for the communication activity associated with the first subscriber identity coincides with at least one paging occasion associated with the second subscriber identity, cause the modem to switch to the second subscriber identity to read one paging message on a paging channel associated with the second subscriber identity.
Abstract:
Receiver adapted for determining an estimation of interferences when receiving an OFDM signal made of packets, each packet comprising a first training field, a second training field, at least two header fields and data field, comprising: Means for detecting a first symbol value of a first header fields and a second symbol value of a second header field, said first and second header fields beholding to said at least two header fields and the modulation scheme being different between said first and second header fields; and Means for determining said estimation from said first and second symbol values.
Abstract:
A wireless communication apparatus is arranged to detect, among a plurality of modulated carrier signals of different frequencies, at least one of the modulated carrier signals modulated with a tone burst. A receiver provides a composite signal comprising the plurality of modulated carrier signals received simultaneously. An ADC generates samples of the composite signal, and the samples of the composite signal are divided into a plurality of blocks. The samples of each block are transformed into frequency domain components, and the frequency domain components of each block are divided into a plurality of groups, each group corresponding to a range of frequencies occupied by a different one of the modulated carrier signals. Tone burst detection is performed on each group, and it is determined which of the modulated carrier signals is modulated with the tone burst, according to which of the groups the tone burst is detected in.
Abstract:
High-speed RF differential, Quadrature, divide-by-2 clock divider designs are based on inverters and clocking circuits connected in a serial ring formation. In one embodiment, only NMOS transistors are used in the inverters, and only PMOS transistors are used in the clocking circuits. This structure uses only 12 transistors. The input can be coupled directly to a VCO output, and provides minimum loading, as each VCO output is connected to only two transistors. Another embodiment comprises clocked inverter stages connected in a serial ring configuration with inverters between stages. The RF clock (or VCO signal) is used at the outer side of the inverters for speed improvement. In both circuits, positive and negative clock inputs are connected alternately at each stage of the ring.
Abstract:
A method of generating first and second panoramic pictures based on a series of frames acquired by a frame acquisition device is provided. While the device is panned in a main direction, a global motion value reflecting a displacement in the main direction between consecutive frames and a perspective transform reflecting a perspective change between the frames are computed. For each frame, a first area of the frame is determined for the first panoramic picture and a second area of the frame, distinct from the first area, is determined for the second panoramic picture. An adapted first area is determined by applying an inverse of the global transform to the first area of the current frame, the adapted first area being included into the first panoramic picture and the second area of the current frame being included into the second panoramic picture.
Abstract:
A method of indicating a suitable pose for a camera for obtaining a stereoscopic image, with the camera comprising an imaging sensor. The method comprises obtaining and storing a first image of a scene using the imaging sensor when the camera is in a first pose; moving the camera to a second pose; and obtaining a second image of the scene when the camera is in the second pose. One or more disparity vectors are determined, each disparity vector being determined between a feature identified within the first image and a corresponding feature identified in the second image. On the basis of the one or more disparity vectors, a determination is made of whether the second image of the scene is suitable for use, together with the first image, as a stereoscopic image pair.
Abstract:
An accumulation apparatus, which adds a number of data values, has an adder and an asynchronous ripple counter. The adder adds each current data value to an adder sum of the preceding data values. The asynchronous ripple counter, which is coupled to the adder, generates a ripple count by counting occurrences of overflow of the adder. The accumulation apparatus outputs an accumulated data value having the adder sum as least significant part and the ripple count as most significant part.
