In some aspects, a reader device may transmit a delta message that indicates a frequency difference between a data tone frequency for the reader device and a helper tone frequency. The reader device may transmit a data tone signal at the data tone frequency and a helper tone signal at the helper tone frequency. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for determining sidelink channel metrics using reference signal measurements of reference signals transmitted by other UEs. A first UE may receive a control message from a base station, and the control message may indicate a measurement threshold. The first UE may generate a reference signal measurement of a reference signal transmitted by a second UE via a sidelink channel between the first UE and the second UE. The UE may transmit a measurement report to the base station based at least in part on the measurement satisfying the threshold. The report may be a quantized value of the measurement or a bit indicating that the measurement satisfies the threshold. Based on receipt of the measurement report, the base station may determine to transmit data to the second UE via a transmission to the first UE.

Abstract: The present disclosure provide various methods, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for managing communication paths, which may include at least one direct communication path between UEs, such as a sidelink communication path. Illustratively, an apparatus of the present disclosure may be a UE or component thereof that is configured to establish a direct wireless communication link and an indirect wireless communication link with another UE to carry data associated with one traffic stream. Further, the apparatus may be configured to communicate with the other UE over at least one of the direct communication link or the indirect communication link after the direct communication link and the indirect communication link are established with the other UE.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support resource selection and indication for sidelink demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling. A transmitting UE determines sidelink resources for bundling a sidelink DMRS transmission to be transmitted to a receiving UE. In sidelink mode 1, the sidelink resources may be determined based on indications from a base station, which may include whether the transmitting UE is to maintain phase continuity over the sidelink resources during the bundling, or whether the transmitting UE is to include a phase jump reference signal with the bundled DMRS transmission to the receiving UE. In sidelink mode 2, the transmitting UE may select the sidelink resources based on the phase continuity capabilities of the transmitting UE and/or of the receiving UE, and/or based on a sensing of the sidelink channel. In some cases, the receiving UE may provide a resource recommendation to the transmitting UE.

Abstract: Aspects relate to techniques for facilitating sidelink cancellation. A network entity, such as a base station, may schedule a sidelink transmission between a transmitting wireless communication device and a receiving wireless communication device and transmit scheduling information for the sidelink transmission to at least the transmitting wireless communication device. The network entity may further transmit control information including a cancellation indication to at least the transmitting UE. The cancellation indication may indicate at least an overlap between a portion of the resources allocated to the sidelink transmission and an additional transmission. Based on the cancellation indication, the transmitting wireless communication device may modify the sidelink transmission.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) resource allocation operations. A transmit (TX) user equipment (UE) transmit a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) that indicates an allocated PSSCH resource portion. In a first aspect, the portion includes two non-contiguous subchannels. In a second aspect, the PSCCH indicates a layer or a node of a layer of a resource allocation layer structure. In a third aspect, the PSCCH indicates a subchannel group size for an allocated resource, using a bitmask or a value that corresponds to a subchannel and a group size combination. In a fourth aspect, the TX UE determines the portion based multiple values of subchannel and length combinations, the multiple values determined by disabling one or more combinations of a total number of subchannel and length combination for contiguous allocation, or for contiguous and non-contiguous allocation.
