    Abstract: A safety device is disclosed for a power transformer containing a cooling liquid, and can include a shaped body having an inner chamber which is suitable to be at least partially immersed in cooling liquid and inside which gas can accumulate; a first floating element and a second floating element suitable to be at least partially immersed in and moved by cooling liquid; and a switch suitable to be actuated by the first floating element when the gas accumulated is such that the level of the cooling liquid in the inner chamber reaches a predetermined first threshold level and by the second floating element when the gas accumulated is such that the level of the cooling liquid in the inner chamber reaches a lower predetermined second threshold level, respectively. The first and second floating elements can be mounted on and move linearly relative to one or more corresponding guiding supports.

    Abstract: A converter arrangement comprises first and second modular multilevel converters, Each of the modular multilevel converters comprises two converter branches. Each converter branch comprises a plurality of series-connected converter cells. Each converter cell comprises a cell capacitor and semiconductor switches for connecting and disconnecting the cell capacitor to the converter branch. At least two converter branches of the first modular multilevel converter are connected via first branch connection point and at least two converter branches of the second modular multilevel converter are connected via second branch connection point. The multilevel converters are connected in parallel via a phase connection point for connecting the converter arrangement to a load or a power source, wherein the phase connection point is connected via a first inductance with the first branch connection point and/or via a second inductance with the second branch connection point. At least one of the modular multilevel converters comprises a protection system.

    Abstract: Exemplary systems and methods for monitoring a current state of a spatially extensive supply network having at least one control station that monitors and controls the supply network and a plurality of sensors that transmit measurement values relating to operating behavior to the at least one control station. Current measurement values are measured at positions on the supply network corresponding to each sensor. Each sensor analyzes measured signal variations and signal trends of the measured current values via an evaluating unit. The measurement values of each respective sensor are transmitted to the at least one control station in data packets at a defined time. At each respective sensor, when the analysis detects an abnormal measurement signal variation, a frequency of transmission of the respective sensor and each adjacent sensor is increased, the respective sensor transmitting the measurement values to the at least one control station or to adjacent sensors to which the respective sensor is connected to through a common supply line and which measure an identical or physically similar quantity.

    Abstract: A method is disclosed for automatically configuring network devices of a data network having at least two configurable network devices, whose configuration parameters are deployable over the data network to the configurable network devices from an initial configuration state to a desired configuration state. At least one of the configurable network devices is from a first type of network devices, whose configuration requires a pre-defined series of at least one intermediate configuration state. A central deployment network device determines the actual state of each configurable network device for comparing with desired states of the configurable network devices, and in case of a difference, determines a subsequent intermediate and or respective subsequent desired configuration state wherein actual states of the configurable network devices are considered.
