摘要： An insulated electric wire with a water-stopping portion has excellent water-stopping performance and forms quickly, and a wire harness includes the insulated electric wire. An insulated electric wire includes: a conductor wherein multiple metal material elemental wires are twisted together; and an insulation covering covers an outer circumference of the conductor. The insulated electric wire includes an exposed portion wherein the insulation covering is removed; a covered portion wherein the insulation covering covers the conductor, the exposed and covered portions are adjacent to each other in a longitudinal axis direction; and a water-stopping portion wherein gaps between the wires in the exposed portion are filled with a water-stopping agent. At least a portion of the water-stopping agent contacting the wires is made of a resin material that cures upon contact. A wire harness includes the insulated electric wire, and electric connections at both ends, each capable of other device connection.

A region of the second covered portion is a non-waterproof end that has a void between the elemental wires and/or between the conductor and the insulation covering.

摘要： An electromechanical cable that has fluid/gas migration protection is provided as well as a method for manufacturing a fluid/gas migration protected electromechanical cable. The cable can include a core having at least one conductor or fiber optic, a first jacket layer surrounding the core, a sealing layer surrounding the first jacket layer, and a first armor layer surrounding the sealing layer. In one embodiment, the sealing layer can be applied to the cable in a viscous material state and may be a two-part epoxy or synthetic filler material to form a seal between one or more spaces between the armor wire layer and the first jacket layer. In one embodiment, the sealing layer can be applied to the cable in a solid material state and may be a thermoplastic elastomer or silicone-based material or a combination of both.

摘要： A sealing assembly for sealing a bundle of wires includes a first sheet formed of a sealant material, a second sheet disposed above the first sheet, and a third sheet disposed above the second sheet formed of the sealant material. The second sheet includes a thermally conductive material. When the bundle of wires is overlaid on the assembly in a first direction, and the assembly is wrapped in a second direction that is generally perpendicular to the first to thereby surround the wires, the second sheet facilitates enhanced thermal energy distribution of applied heat throughout the assembly to thereby more uniformly melt the sealant material and thereby fill voids between the wires.

摘要： A sealed cable assembly includes a jacket enclosing a plurality of insulated wires. Each insulated wire includes a bare wire covered by surrounding insulation, and a cable plug or connector is electrically connected with the bare wires. A sealant surrounds the insulated wires in an air gap between the jacket and the insulated wires in a location at or near the cable plug or connector, and the sealant fills the air gap at the location to prevent or reduce fluid loss through the cable in an immersion cooling system. The cable assembly can also be sealed at an in-between section away from the cable plug or connector. The cable assembly is wrapped with a weatherproof film or tape at the location of the sealing to further prevent or reduce fluid loss through the cable.

摘要： An insulated electric wire includes a conductor comprising twisted elemental wires and an insulation covering. The insulated electric wire includes an exposed portion in which the insulation covering is removed from the outer surface of the conductor, and a covered portion in which the insulation covering covers the outer surface of the conductor. The exposed portion and the covered portion are adjacent with each other along a longitudinal axis of the insulated electric wire. A density of the conductive material per unit length is higher in the exposed portion than in the covered portion. The elemental wires are twisted in both the exposed portion and the covered portion including an area that is positioned away from the exposed portion by at least a distance corresponding to a length of the exposed portion. Gaps between the elemental wires of the exposed portion are filled with a sealant.
