    Abstract: An apparatus and system are described to provide carrier switching rules for multiple aperiodic Sounding Reference Signals (SRS) resource sets triggered by a single downlink control information (DCI). Whether the user equipment (UE) retunes between a source component carrier (CC) and a target CC for an SRS transmission is dependent on a time period between adjacent SRS resource sets in addition to priorities of the SRS transmission on the target CC and a simultaneous transmission on the source CC. In addition, timing of another DCI scheduling the simultaneous transmission received prior to the associated SRS transmission affects which of the simultaneous transmission or the associated SRS transmission is transmitted.

    Abstract: An apparatus and system for aperiodic sounding reference signals (SRS) transmission are described. Downlink control information (DCI) format 2_3 indicates a Transmission Configuration Indicator (TCI) state for beam indication for transmission of an SRS triggered by the DCI. An explicit field is added to the DCI to indicate the TCI state or the TCI state of the scheduling carrier used to transmit the DCI is used for the SRS. The TCI state indicates a joint uplink/downlink TCI state or a separate uplink or downlink TCI state. The DCI indicates an available slot to use for the SRS explicitly in a DCI field or implicitly based on the component carrier used for transmission of the SRS, the slotOffset parameter, or the first available slot.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) configured for operation in a fifth-generation (5G) new radio (NR) (5G-NR) system may decode a downlink control information (DCI) format comprising one of DCI format 0_1 and DCI format 0_2. When the DCI format does not schedule a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) and does not trigger a sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission, and when the DCI format at least triggers a channel state information (CSI) request including at least one of a CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) operation, a CSI interference measurement (CSI-IM), and a CSI report transmission, the UE may interpret one or more fields of the DCI format that would normally be used for PUSCH scheduling and/or SRS triggering as indicating additional information or parameters for the triggered CSI request. The UE may perform the triggered CSI request using at least the information in the one or more repurposed fields of the DCI.

    Abstract: A computer-readable storage medium stores instructions to configure a UE for beam management for multi-TRP operation in a 5G NR and beyond wireless network, and to cause the UE to perform operations. The operations include performing measurements on a plurality of SS/PBCH blocks to determine a set of preferred SS/PBCH beams. A MAC control element (CE) is encoded for transmission to a base station. The MAC CE includes at least one preferred beam pair for the multi-TRP operation. The at least one preferred beam pair includes a pair of preferred SS/PBCH beams selected from the set and corresponding to a pair of UE antenna panels. Downlink data received by the pair of UE antenna panels during the multi-TRP operation is decoded. The downlink data is received via reception beams corresponding to the pair of preferred SS/PBCH beams.
