Abstract:
The present invention provides ketolide derivatives, which can be used as anti-bacterial agents. Compounds disclosed herein can be used for the treating or preventing conditions caused by or contributed to by gram positive, gram negative or anaerobic bacteria, more particularly against, for example, Staphylococci, Streptococci, Enterococci, Haemophilus, Moraxalla spp., Chlamydia spp., Mycoplasm, Legionella spp., Mycobacterium, Helicobacter, Clostridium, Bacteroides, Corynebacterium, Bacillus, Enterobactericeae or any combination thereof. Also provided are processes for preparing compounds disclosed herein, intermediates used in their synthesis, pharmaceutical compositions thereof, and methods of treating bacterial infections.
Abstract:
This invention relates to compositions for the sustained release of biologically active polypeptides, and methods of forming and using said compositions, for the sustained release of biologically active polypeptides. The sustained release compositions of this invention comprise a biocompatible polymer having dispersed therein, a biologically active polypeptide and a sugar.

Abstract:
A manufacturing method of a silicon carbide semiconductor device includes the steps of: preparing a semiconductor substrate including a silicon carbide substrate, a drift layer and a first semiconductor layer; forming a plurality of first trenches in a cell portion; forming a gate layer on an inner wall of each first trench by an epitaxial growth method; forming a first insulation film on the surface of the semiconductor substrate; forming a gate electrode on the first insulation film for connecting to the gate layer electrically; forming a source electrode on the first insulation film for connecting to the first semiconductor layer in the cell portion; and forming a drain electrode connected to the silicon carbide substrate electrically.
Abstract:
A method for initiating a remote trace route includes establishing a communication session between a first endpoint and a second endpoint. The method also includes detecting at the first endpoint a quality impairment in a communication sent from the second endpoint. In response to detecting the quality impairment, the method includes sending a request from the first endpoint to the second endpoint for the second endpoint to initiate a trace route from the second endpoint to the first endpoint. Upon receiving the request at the second endpoint, the method includes initiating a trace route from the second endpoint to the first endpoint.
Abstract:
Clot-specific streptokinase proteins possessing altered plasminogen characteristics, including enhanced fibrin selectivity. The kinetics of plasminogen activation by these proteins are distinct from those of natural streptokinase, in that there is a temporary delay or lag in the initial rate of catalytic conversion of plasminogen to plasmin. Also disclosed are processes for preparing the proteins.
Abstract:
A method for adaptive media quality monitoring includes monitoring at least one metric of a call between at least two endpoints and detecting a threshold crossing event via the monitoring of the at least one metric. The method also includes executing a threshold crossing action based on detecting the threshold crossing event. The threshold crossing action comprises monitoring at least one additional metric of the call.
Abstract:
Sterically hindered phenol and phosphite based compounds, represented by a formula selected from I-III: and their use as antioxidants in a wide range of materials including, but not limited to, food, plastics, elastomers, composites and petroleum based products is disclosed herein.
Abstract:
Methods for preparing microparticles having reduced residual solvent levels. Microparticles are contacted with a non-aqueous washing system to reduce the level of residual solvent in the microparticles. Preferred non-aqueous washing systems include 100% ethanol and a blend of ethanol and heptane. A solvent blend of a hardening solvent and a washing solvent can be used to harden and wash microparticles in a single step, thereby eliminating the need for a post-hardening wash step.
