    Abstract: A wireless device charger is configured to produce an alternating magnetic field, thereby inducing an alternating electrical current within a capture coil of a personal electronic device proximate to the wireless device charger. The wireless device charger includes a source coil having a ferrite element configured to generate the alternating magnetic field, a housing formed of a thermally conductive material in thermal communication with the ferrite element, and an air movement device configured to produce a turbulent air flow across a surface of the housing flowing from an air inlet to an air outlet, thereby reducing a housing temperature.

    Abstract: A current display system comprises a plurality of computer blades, interconnected with each other and each hosting a graphics processor and a plurality of virtualized operating systems (OS) run by an hypervisor and sharing said graphics processor. Each computer blade is connected directly to a set of display devices including a part of a plurality of display devices. All computer blades are connected to all the display devices. Each virtualized OS runs a global compositor instance and at least one application. The global compositor instance of a first virtualized OS transmits a graphical output to a display device driven by a second virtualized OS, via the global compositor instance of said second virtualized OS, so that an application content from an application run by said first virtualized OS is displayed on said second display device.

    Abstract: A backing plate, a corresponding electrical connector for mating with the backing plate, an electrical header, and an assembly thereof are described herein. The backing plate has an inner portion having a first thickness and an outer portion having a second thickness that is greater than the first thickness. The outer portion surrounds a perimeter of the inner portion and forms a cavity within the backing plate for acceptance of the electrical header. The backing plate also contains a connector attachment portion configured to attach the backing plate to the electrical connector and an intermediate surface attachment portion configured to attach the backing plate to the intermediate surface.

    Abstract: A system for an automated vehicle includes an exterior-camera, a database, and a controller. The exterior-camera is used to detect an identification-feature of a person proximate to a host-vehicle. The database includes a customer-profile of the person. The controller-circuit is in communication with the exterior-camera and the database. The controller-circuit is configured to determine an identity of the person in accordance with the identification-feature, recall from the database the customer-profile of the person based on the identity, and operate the host-vehicle to either select or reject the person as a passenger in accordance with the customer-profile of the person.

    Abstract: A windshield-wiper system includes a precipitation-detector, a windshield-wiper actuator, an object-detector, and a controller. The precipitation-detector detects precipitation proximate to a host-vehicle. The windshield-wiper actuator clears the precipitation from a windshield of the host-vehicle. The object-detector detects a distance of an object to the host-vehicle. The controller is in communication with the precipitation-detector, the windshield-wiper actuator, and the object-detector. The controller determines when the precipitation is present based on the precipitation-detector, determines the distance from the object to the host-vehicle based on the object-detector, and adjusts a speed of the windshield-wiper actuator when the precipitation is detected and the object is less than a distance-threshold away from the host-vehicle.

    Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes a connector body that is formed of a dielectric material. The electrical connector assembly defines a terminal cavity configured to receive an electrical terminal.
