    Abstract: Dynamic, on-demand connectivity via satellite is enabled for advanced communication networks, such as, but not limited to, fifth generation (5G) communication networks and beyond. For instance, a system comprises radio equipment part of a new radio (NR) communication network that facilitates communication of data traffic between a communication device and core equipment of the NR communication network via satellite communication equipment part of a satellite communication network, wherein the radio equipment facilitates the communication using a NR communication protocol defined for the NR communication network. In one or more embodiments, the NR network comprises a 5G network and wherein the NR communication protocol comprises a 5G communication protocol.

    Abstract: A processing system deployed in a communication network may detect a condition for merging at least a first logical network of the communication network and a second logical network of the communication network. The first logical network may be reserved for use by at least a first plurality of endpoint devices of at least a first public service entity, and the second logical network is reserved for use by at least a second plurality of endpoint devices of at least a second entity. The processing system may then merge the first logical network and the second logical network to create a merged logical network, in response to the detecting of the condition. The merging may include allocating a set of network resources to the merged logical network and authorizing the first plurality of endpoint devices and the second plurality of endpoint devices to access the merged logical network.

    Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method in which a processing system coupled to a communication network identifies, based on base station unit (BSU) performance measurements and network key performance indicator (KPI) measurements, a set of BSUs experiencing interference. The method further includes selecting BSUs from the identified set that are to be provided with an auxiliary antenna array; and computing, for each BSU in the identified set, parameters to be used by modules of the BSU that are local to the BSU and configured to perform interference detection, interference estimation, and/or interference cancellation; the computed parameters are used in a reconfiguration procedure for the modules of the BSU.     Abstract: The concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed detecting and mitigating drive-by home WI-FI hijack attacks. According to one aspect, a war driving activity correlation system can obtain a report from a home gateway system. The report can identify a suspicious device attempting to connect to a WI-FI network provided, at least in part, by the home gateway system. The war driving activity correlation system can determine, based upon the report, a route of an attacker who uses the suspicious device. The war driving activity correlation system can send instructions to the home gateway system. The instructions can include the route and can specify one or more mitigation actions to be performed by the home gateway system, such as blacklisting a media access control address associated with the suspicious device. The mitigation action(s) can be based upon one or more policies.

    Abstract: A flexible service-based architecture (SBA) for next generation communication networks is described. In an embodiment, a method performed by a system comprising a processor comprises receiving a service request for provision of a data communication service to a communication device via a communication network comprising a plurality of different network resources defined by resource components and sub-components of the resource components.
