摘要: Disclosed embodiments provide a virtual topology in response to an allocation request. The virtual topology is a synchronized subgraph of the physical topology. The synchronized subgraph virtual topology mirrors the physical topology in terms of tree structure. However, merely sharing the physical topology with users/customers is not feasible, as it may reveal additional infrastructure details such as MAC addresses, IP addresses, and the like, that can compromise security and/or jeopardize multi-tenant operations. Disclosed embodiments create virtual topology structures with obfuscated node data, so that important data such as physical IP addresses and/or MAC addresses are hidden from the end-users. Thus, disclosed embodiments provide the benefits of performance enhancement that comes from sharing the topology without the downside of compromising security by revealing physical topology details.

摘要: Described is a novel framework, we call intent-based computing jobs assignment framework, for efficiently accommodating a clients' computing job requests in a mobile edge computing infrastructure. We define the intent-based computing job assignment problem, which jointly optimizes the virtual topology design and virtual topology mapping with the objective of minimizing the total bandwidth consumption. We use the Integer Linear Programming (ILP) technique to formulate this problem, and to facilitate the optimal solution. In addition, we employ a novel and efficient heuristic algorithm, called modified Steiner tree-based (MST-based) heuristic, which coordinately determines the virtual topology design and the virtual topology mapping. Comprehensive simulations to evaluate the performance of our solutions show that the MST-based heuristic can achieve an efficient performance that is close to the optimal performance obtained by the ILP solution.

The memory includes instructions that when executed by the processor, performs a network update comprising adding links, subtracting links or reporting a status of links in at least one network domain upon receiving a network update request, and performs sending and receiving the network update request to a second SDN controller, where the network update request is part of real-time publish/subscribe protocol, the sending network update request includes a publish message having a specified topic and a set of QoS attributes, and the receiving a network update request includes subscribing to the specified topic and the set of QoS attributes.

摘要: A private mobile network supports information technology (IT) needs of an organization of any type and size. The private mobile network may be customized and scaled to meet the changing IT needs of the organization. It provides a common virtual network fabric by which all of the disparate networks of the organization can be bridged together and across multiple locations, and may be integrated with existing IT software and hardware of the organization, even proprietary software and hardware. The private mobile network may be accessed by devices through existing access mechanisms and through a radio access network. In addition, any device accessing the private mobile network is associated with a user identifier, such as an e-mail address assigned to the user by the organization, so that the user can be identified regardless of which device was used in accessing the private mobile network.

摘要: Some embodiments provide a method of performing control plane operations in a radio access network (RAN). The method deploys several machines on a host computer. On each machine, the method deploys a control plane application to perform a control plane operation. The method also configures on each machine a RAN intelligent controller (RIC) SDK to serve as an interface between the control plane application on the same machine and a set of one or more elements of the RAN. In some embodiments, the RIC SDK on each machine includes a set of network connectivity processes that establish network connections to the set of RAN elements for the control plane application. These RIC SDK processes allow the control plane application on their machine to forego having the set of network connectivity processes. In some embodiments, the set of network connectivity processes of each RIC SDK of each machine establishes and maintains network connections between the machine and the set of RAN elements used by the control plane application of the machine, and handles data packet transport to and from the set of RAN elements for the control plane application.

The content caching optimization system in which content priority in an information-centric networking (ICN) environment is taken into consideration includes one or more producer terminals configured to generate and provide content, one or more user terminals configured to transmit content requests according to users and receive content according to the content requests, one or more mobilelmultiple access edge cotnputings (MECs) configured to predict the number of requests for each piece of content to be requested later on the basis of the content requests received from the user terminals, and a software-defined network (SDN) controller configured to calculate a content popularity using the number of requests for each piece of content predicted by the MECs and perform content caching optimization on the basis of the calculated content popularity and a preset content priority.
