    Abstract: A steering apparatus includes a turning shaft movable in a vehicle widthwise direction, a pinion shaft meshed with the turning shaft and a first housing that retains therein the turning shaft and the pinion shaft. An inner circumferential surface of the first housing facing with the turning shaft is provided with an inclined portion that continuously changes an internal diameter. When a portion where a tooth of the turning shaft and a tooth of the pinion shaft are meshed with each other is defined as a meshed portion, the inclined portion is formed below at least the meshed portion.

    Abstract: Provided is an internal combustion engine control device capable of reducing a measurement load and calculating a flow velocity around an ignition plug. The internal combustion engine control device includes an inter-gap voltage calculation unit 31 and a flow velocity calculation unit 32. The inter-gap voltage calculation unit 31 calculates a reference inter-gap voltage under a reference condition, based on a secondary current and in-cylinder pressure. The flow velocity calculation unit calculates the flow velocity of a gas around the ignition plug based on the reference inter-gap voltage.

    Abstract: An electronic control device for power conversion having an integrated safety function and improved reliability includes: a power module for converting DC power into AC power and supply the AC power to a motor; a gate driver for controlling the power module; a microcontroller for controlling the gate driver: a power supply IC for supplying power to at least one of the gate driver and the microcontroller: a discharge circuit for discharging a high voltage supplied to the power module; and a sensor. The power supply IC includes a microcomputer abnormality detection circuit for detecting an abnormality of the microcontroller and a safety processing circuit for determining necessity of safety processing based on an output of at least one of the microcomputer abnormality detection circuit and the sensor and performs the safety processing. The safety processing circuit stops the motor or discharges a high voltage using the discharge circuit.

    Abstract: A control valve according to the present invention is configured such that when a third opening part, which is an auxiliary opening part, and a third discharge opening, which is an auxiliary connection opening, do not overlap, the third opening part and a continuous discharge opening overlap. Thus, for example, when a flow rate of cooling water for continuous circulation is required, such as during a cold start, cooling water guided through an internal passage is discharged via the continuous discharge opening in addition to cooling water guided from a bypass passage, thereby ensuring a sufficient flow rate of cooling water for continuous circulation.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a rotation angle detection device that detects a steering state quantity of steer-by-wire. The rotation angle detection device includes a drive gear that rotates along with the rotation of a rotating shaft part, first through third driven gears that rotate in conjunction with the drive gear and have different numbers of teeth that are indivisible by each other, sensors that detect the amounts of rotation and are provided for the respective first through third driving gears, a rotation amount generating unit that generates the amount of rotation of the drive gear by combining the amounts of rotation of different driven gears, and power supply circuits each of which is provided for a combination of sensors that detect the amounts of rotation of different driven gears. This configuration makes it possible to improve robustness against failure of sensor elements and power supply circuits.

    Abstract: A vehicle control device causes an automatic brake to function even for an obstacle suddenly appearing from outside a sensor detection range in a place estimated to be dangerous such as an intersection. A vehicle control device calculates time-to-collision TTC based on a detection result of an obstacle sensor, and controls a brake, which is an actuator of a vehicle, based on the calculated time-to-collision TTC. The vehicle control device includes a determination unit that determines right turn or left turn of the vehicle, and a command unit that sends a command according to a determination result of the determination unit to the brake. When determining that the vehicle is turning right or left, the determination unit changes the time-to-collision TTC to a longer value by extending more than that at the time of traveling straight.
