    Abstract: A package assembly for packaging a replacement mower blade is provided. The package assembly includes a blade hang tab removably attached to an end of a mower blade. A shrink film tube is positioned about the mower blade and blade hang tab, wherein the shrink film is heated to shrink the shrink film and secure the blade hang tab to the mower blade. In another embodiment, the package assembly includes multiple blades encased within shrink film with a blade hang tab attached to one of the blades within the shrink film.

    Abstract: A water nozzle is attached to the mower deck of vegetation mower that extends into the interior of the mower deck housing. Water is channeled into the water nozzle and is diverted laterally out through an end of the nozzle toward the mower blade in the housing deck for use in cleaning the interior sides of the mower deck housing. The water may contact the mower blade to be propelled to the sides of the mower deck housing. The nozzle may be rotatably attached with respect to the deck to use in manually turning the nozzle cleaning the entire periphery of the interior of the mower deck housing.

    Abstract: An upper hood and a blower housing form an air induction cavity in the side of the mower hood, which draws the ambient air into the air intake and from there into the engine. Two shield members on the blower housing prevent the ambient air from mixing with the hot air of the engine. A method of air induction is also disclosed, including the steps of forming an air induction cavity by connecting the upper hood to the housing, having the lower lip of the air induction cavity lower than the air intake of the blower housing, channeling the air into the air intake via channels on the blower housing, and preventing the hot air of the engine from mixing with the ambient air drawn through the air induction cavity.

    Abstract: A foot pedal lift assist that is operably associated with the lift mechanism of a lawn care apparatus. The lift assist includes a foot pedal that is pivotally connected to a holder. The foot pedal may be locked into an operative position where the longitudinal axis of the foot pedal is perpendicular to the axis of the holder. The foot pedal includes a positioning hole that is aligned with a first hole on a mounting surface of the holder when the foot pedal is in the operative position. The foot pedal may be locked into an inoperative position where the longitudinal axis of the foot pedal is parallel to the axis of the holder. The positioning hold of the foot pedal is aligned with a second hold on the mounting surface when the foot pedal is in the inoperative position. The foot pedal lift assist may be used alone, or in conjunction with a standard hand lever to reposition a mower deck or other implement.
